Greetings TAG Members from 50+ Job Seekers in MA
Hello TAG members. My name is Eric and I'm the representative for 50plusjobseekers.org, a grant program funded by the Massachusetts Executive Office of Aging and Independence and operated by the Massachusetts Councils on Aging. Our program specifically targets what we call the "forgotten job seekers" – individuals over 50 who are unemployed, underemployed, seeking to return to the workforce after a gap, or transitioning from retirement. We recognize that this demographic often encounters age-related barriers during their job search, and we provide comprehensive support to help them overcome these challenges. The 50+ Job Seekers program offers: Robust job search strategies tailored to mature workers Networking opportunities and community support Skills development, career transition guidance and mentorship Resources for addressing age-related challenges in the hiring process We work closely with Senior Centers and MassHire Career Centers throughout the state, and our network is expanding (as is the TAG group... thank you for the invitation!) Feel free to explore our website at 50plusjobseekers.org. You may wish to receive our weekly newsletter that lists our coming workshops, links and resources (including future TAG events!)
