Parts
4
Hi to One and All, I'm looking for replacement parts. I'm in Canada and wondering if anyone has replaced the windows struts(?) and the Kool kat furnace/ ac unit in an '09 T@B. I'm looking for part numbers and any info on where to order them. Thanks for your collective input. Cheers, Monica

Bontrager's Surplus - RV and Home Improvement Items
5
We used to refer T@B owners to the above "store." I seem to remember it was in Minnesota?? (maybe not). However, they were carrying some of the older T@B parts at that time. There are apparently several locations now, so you might want to check the web and see which one is near you and give them a call. With luck, they may have a listing of "all" the parts and their current locations. Obviously, if you have a newer T@B, you should call the manufacturer. I'm also seeing a "RV Supply Warehouse - RV Accessories and Supplies. Also, www.trailersupply.com. As for buying a good used T@B, you might want to contnact the two Facebook groups and perhaps advertise there what you're looking for. I had one of the early T@Bs (2004) and it eventually needed a whole new floor. It was a complete "body off" job. I did eventually sell it and it died at the hands of an ex-con who stripped it and sold the items for spending money. Long, sad story. In the meantime, I had purchased a 2016 16FB Viking trailer because I wanted a little more room. It now needs a new roof - much better than needing a new floor!! Anyway - I hope you love your T@Bs!!! I sure loved mine. -- Thanks, Sandra Rutan Owner/Moderator

Backing up
9
Go slow - with your hand on the bottom of the steering wheel to turn the butt of the trailer to the left, your hand moves to the left, obviously, to turn it to the right, your hand moves to the right. I had a long discussion with a couple over the road truckers who are trained completely differently. I had to "argue" with them that non truckers (new travel trailer owners) need to learn how to do it differently. Don't get flustered - just remember "hand on the bottom of the steering wheel" and go slow. T@Bs being so little / short - they will jacknife really quickly. If it does, just pull forward, straighten everything out and start again. -- Thanks, Sandra Rutan Owner/Moderator

Battery Advice on 2008 Clamshell
4
Hello, all you loyal Tabbers out there! Love my baby and finally have a small Tacoma that's even older to pull it, retired the previous tow vehicle. Just a question-I currently have 2 6V golf batteries in place, my husband's choice. I have had intermittent alarms go off in the trailer over time, and it is not only a tad worrisome (what is offgassing or overheating or emitting fumes?) but quite inconvenient. Any recommendations on batteries or battery cases that would be appropriate? I am not the battery expert at all, but want this issue to not be on occasional repeat. Thanks again, happy and safe travels!! Holly Fresno

My friend has an 07 T@B. The repair shop says it needs a new axle and says there is nowhere to get one! Any advice? Thanks

Propane/Battery Plastic cover replacement?
10
Hello!! I have a 2006 T@B and the front plastic cover over the propane gas tank and battery broke up and away from where it adheres to the frame. Does anyone have any suggestions for how/what to replace it with? It was so cute and matching before! :( Lecia Grossman, PCC, HSDP leciagrossman@... 612-269-8756

2018 T@B 320s Norcold refrigerator shelves
4
Does anyone have a source for replacement shelves? Or suggestions for replacements? This refrigerator has been discontinued. The white plastic coating is wearing off and the metal underneath is rusting through. It’s pretty ugly. Tail light covers for 2007 T@B Clamshell
3
#Dutchmen
Desperate to find tail light covers or the whole tail light assembly. While I was parked in the lot of a visitor center at a state park I came out to find that someone stole the red tail light covers on my 2007 T@B Clamshell trailer. I have looked everywhere. Does someone have any ideas how I can either find them, or any kind of tail lights that would fit? Or, how to improvise something? Thank you in advance.

Never Used *NEW* Gray Awning from original Dutchman T@B
6
We have a *NEW* Gray Awning from the original Dutchman T@B. I had purchased it as a “backup” and never used it as we already had one. See photos for condition. Awning shown attached is our original one, not the *NEW* one. Asking $300 + shipping but really prefer local pickup to the Seattle Area. Shipping of poles is quite the hassle. ? Thanks, Alice 2007 Dutchman T@B now sitting on next door neighbor’s lot….

Awning and Cover from 2006 T@B for Sale - Great Condition
2
I have silver colored awning with blue trim and a full cover available from a 2006 T@b, they’re very lightly used as we only had our Tab for a couple years then sold but just came across the awning and grey cover in attic storage bin. My preference would be to sell them together. Anyone interested? Regards, Lou Portland, OR

T@B for sale
5
I have a 2004 T@B in my garage that I need to sell. We bought it from original owner in 2007. It was much loved and used until July 2022 when my husband passed away. It’s been in my garage since then. It’s the basic model, no bathroom. We kept the bed open since we cooked and ate outside under the awning-yellow and orange flowers. It has been garage kept when not used. I can’t find any older models for sale so I’m not sure what price I should ask. Any help would be appreciated. Karin Lyons

T@B for sale [South Carolina]

Hi Karin, This list has been very quiet for months/years. I think many folks have migrated to Facebook. I checked Craigslist and found some listings. Not quite comps, but could give you an idea. 2008 Dutchmen TAB, Eugene, Oregon. $9200. Condition sounds similar to yours. 4 week old listing so that price is probably too high. https://eugene.craigslist.org/tro/d/eugene-2008-dutchmen-tab-teardrop/7753217797.html 2018 Nucamp TAB, Seattle, Washington. $25250. Tons of options/upgrades. https://seattle.craigslist.org/see/tro/d/seattle-2018-nucamp-tab-400/7758637247.html 2010 Nucamp TAB 320S, Asheville, South Carolina. $10900. https://asheville.craigslist.org/tro/d/asheville-2010-teardrop-trailer/7749078377.html 2020 TAG XL Wide, Myrtle Beach. $16700. https://myrtlebeach.craigslist.org/rvs/d/myrtle-beach-2020-tg-xl-wide-teardrop/7759530385.html Hal

08 fridge needs perfect leveling and Hi. :)
5
I bought an 08 Dutchman last year up here in Canada, my first camper. It’s been fantastic! While camping last month the fridge quit on the third day. I had a repairman come up to the campground and look at it and he said it was beyond his ability and I would need to take it into the shop because the fridge would have to come out and the control panel replaced. I decided to use a cooler for my next trip of three days instead of taking it to the shop. Upon arrival, since the camper had not been moved since the last trip, I thought I should double check the leveling because it had rained a lot. It was only a tiny bit off nose to tail and once I leveled it to precision the fridge worked fine! I love how simple these units are. I had a new 3-M clearcoat put on after asking here to see what to do about the peeling. I also ordered the weatherstripping and put it on easily. Otherwise the units are so simple that nothing else has gone awry and I love it. Thanks for all the tips and tidbits of info on these forums, very very helpful for a newbie like me. Happy trails!

Sad day.... selling 2007 T@B LQ to neighbors
6
We have been long time members of this group.. back to Yahoo days. When we bought some property on Whidbey Island in 2015, we moved the T@B up here and camped in it for 2 summers off and on. In January 2017 we moved it back to our home in Burien as we were starting a house build up here and needed it out of the way of big equipment and trucks. In Fall 2017 we moved our T@B back up here and moved in November 2017. She has sat there ever since, acting as a guest bedroom and storage area. We are living where we would have camped in the past, and life being what it is, heading out for camping was a lower priority. New neighbors just bought the lot next to us and they will be doing what we did in terms of camping there until they build a house. So we sold them our trailer and all the equipment, tent, tarp, etc. that goes with it. It’s a sad day as our older dog passed this year and she spent a lot of time camping with us so we feel a double loss. But “Tabitha” will be right next door and hopefully enjoying a new lease on life. We are not sure what the next phase looks like.. it may be back to car camping and finding camping cabins and yurts. We could not believe all the “gear” we hauled out of the basement to move next door and are really liking freeing up all that space. I will be posting a few extra items for sale as well. I will lurk for a while.. Happy Trails! Alice & Jane Langley, WA

Directional vents for Cool Cat Heat Pump
My Cool Cat is doing quite well in this hot weather, but it would be doing even better if I could direct the airflow in different directions. As you can see in the picture, all the air just shoots straight from the unit toward the door. I see that some versions of the Cool Cat have circular directional vents. Does anyone know if these are available to add? What else have y'all done to direct the air more strategically?
