character encoding
My table files are all utf-8 (no BOM), and some of them have curly quotes. These quotes show fine in Notepad++, but the Tablesmith results window gives garbage characters associated with a wrong code

Re: Capitalizing Variables
If I'm understanding the original question, I don't believe that will work, because if a link is being stored in the variable, the first character is actually a "<" (as in "<a href="..."), so "Cap"

Re: Capitalizing Variables
According to the help file, "Variable changes that occur in the "re-roll" will not be reflected elsewhere in the results window" but a little testing shows that variables will be updated *within* the

Re: Capitalizing Variables
I have no idea if that is possible, however, I am sure at a minimum Bruce will. Be patient, though, it sometimes takes time to get a response, especially something this esoteric. Most of us are

Capitalizing Variables
Hi All, I'm trying to find out if it is possible to capitalize a variable AFTER variable assignment, while maintaining the "re-rolling" nature of the variable (e.g. instead of going {Cap~[Group]},
Re: Older Versions of Tablesmith #tablesmith
Thanks to all, I found some copies as well.? Will upload them.

Re: Older Versions of Tablesmith #tablesmith
If you upload them and they are taking up too much space they can always be removed. I am sure Bruce can take care of it when and if the need arises.

Re: Older Versions of Tablesmith #tablesmith
I have copies of 1.41, 2.0, and 3.0 Silver, if anyone still wants those, as well...

Re: Older Versions of Tablesmith #tablesmith
Hi Balok, I ULed 4.0, but 4.3 and 3.95 would be great. Thanks.

Re: Older Versions of Tablesmith #tablesmith
Of the ones you list, I have only 4.0. Tonight I will look at how to post it. Of ones you don't list I have 3.95 - will that do instead of 3.9? And I have 4.3 if anyone needs that.

Re: Older Versions of Tablesmith #tablesmith
You're welcome... I also uploaded the two "Full Downloads" I used to host on my site back from 2004 and 2007. I had forgotten how much of that we all got collected and shared in the days before time!

Re: Older Versions of Tablesmith #tablesmith
I don't think it hurts to have it there. If space becomes an issue it can be removed, but when I checked yesterday we were only using about a quarter of the total space for the group. Thanks!

Re: Older Versions of Tablesmith #tablesmith
I have added 4.0, 4.4, and 5.2. I am not sure about the 5.2 as it is current. Bruce, should I pull that one? <brucegulke+groupsio@...> wrote:

Re: Older Versions of Tablesmith #tablesmith
There should be enough space in the Files area if someone wants to post them (I don't have any copies of the old versions). ©\©\©\©\©\©\©\ Original Message ©\©\©\©\©\©\©\

Older Versions of Tablesmith #tablesmith
Is there a location where we could store older versions of Tablesmith? I would like to go back to 3.9, 4.0, and 4.5. Maybe store them in the Files section? Thanks for the consideration.

Re: Town Generator
Go to files and search for towngenjan? ?I think that is the one you are looking for.? Has a separate town gen data file.

Re: Town Generator
Thanks, TownGenerator V5 appears to be the closes to what I had before. I think the one I had was downloaded from an independent site.

Have you checked the file section of the group? I'm pretty sure the old Town Generator should be in there somewhere. ©\©\©\©\©\©\©\ Original Message ©\©\©\©\©\©\©\

Town Generator
There was a town generator for I believe D&D 3.0 that I had years ago. I was wondering if that generator still existed or if one had been created for the latest table smith and D&D 5.0? There is a

Re: Tablesmith using appimage
Hm, I've been doing some research ... If TS could be built on .Net core, it looks like it should be possible to add ASP .Net core to the mix, which includes a little webserver (kestrel) for local use.
