Re: Bunch of questions on basic how to's #tables
There's more than one way to do things. One way to think about it is "How would I do this with pencil, paper, and plastic dice tables?" If you want to select a background sometimes, rather than

Re: Tablesmith window won't show up
I keep a backup of the cfg file for just such an occasion. And it happens every so often. -- What we know: A person is smart. What the government knows: People are dumb, panicky, dangerous, animals.

Re: Tablesmith window won't show up
Matthias, Make sure TableSmith is not running. Windows has somehow lost track of your ¡°window¡± location and replaced it with a location outside of your screen coordinates. In your root TableSmith

Re: Tablesmith window won't show up
Hi Matthias! Does it show up on the task bar if you hover your mouse over the icon? If you can get it show the preview, right click and select maximize. That worked for me. -- *Thomas Vela* Graphic

Tablesmith window won't show up
I'm running Windows 10 and whenever I open Tablesmith, the window won't show up anywhere. Task Manager says it's running, as does the tape at the bottom of my screen, but it otherwise won't be visible

Re: New Error Message
Glad to hear it! I'd like to be able to tell you what caused the original issue, but I don't know how I'd be able to do that. But the important thing is that you're up and running again. I really need

Re: New Error Message
Success. I found that by installing the portable version into a dropbox folder I was able to get it to work again.

Re: New Error Message
That's odd, especially it had been working fine for so long before. Obviously the TS installation didn't change. My guess is that something else may have mucked up the library Tablesmith is trying to

Re: New Error Message
This is an existing installation that has been working well for years (until some time in the last month or two). Version 5.2, on the most current version of Windows 10 home.
Re: New Error Message
Can you provide some more information? Was this a new installation or an existing one that was working previously? Which version of Windows (I'm assuming TS is v5.2)? wrote:

New Error Message
I fired up Tablesmith today and every table, no matter what, is giving me the same error message. "mcscorlib: Input string was not in a correct format" Some guidance would be much appreciated

Re: What do I have wrong here?
It's a hack, but: {Calc~0{Loop~100,+{Dice~4d6}}} The Loop expands to "+{Dice~4d6}+{Dice~4d6}+{Dice~4d6}..." And the 0 in front of the Loop function makes it "0+{Dice~4d6}+{Dice~4d6}..." to keep the

Re: What do I have wrong here?
You want to roll 4 dice 100 times, so how about "{Dice~400d6}"? Otherwise, if you want each roll segregated, I'd say you want a variable and then in your 100 Loop, add the results of 4d6 to the

What do I have wrong here?
I want to have 4d6 rolled, then have it rolled a total of 100 times and all 100 4d6 rolls added together, {Dice~4d6*100}, not what I'm looking to do. Am I going to need to make variables %4d6001%
