Tef file not opening correctly

I was going through an online tutorial for TablEdit and saved the Red River Valley as a .tef file.? It was setup for Standard Guitar.? When I went to reopen the file, it comes up as a blank document that is set for Dulcimer.? I'm guessing that it has something to do with the instrument setting (module).??

I haven't found an answer for this, so I figured I'd ask here.

Linda

Take a look in the very upper right corner of your tab and check to see if you have selected the instrument?you want.

In this example below there are 4 different?tabs for 4 different?instruments.? ?The current?selection?is for the violin tab.

All the tunes end with A??But Liza, Black and Sals with D?Cold Frosty in minor A?And Missouri in minor E

Tom,

Thanks for the reply.? There was only one instrument.? It was guitar.? But it kept opening as a blank page with Dulcimer.? I may have made a mistake and saved it at the wrong time when I was working last night.

I've now tested it with other documents and seem to have it working.? I've now saved 2 different templates:

1) 2 standard dulcimers and 1 bass dulcimer

2) 2 standard dulcimers, 1 bass dulcimer and 1 hammered dulcimer.??

I'm a retired band teacher who absolutely loves retired life in the dulcimer world!? Just wanting to work to create some music for our local dulcimer group!

Hi Linda
?
My guess is that you overrode RedRiver.tef by mistake when you experienced with your templates for dulcimer.
?
Normally the OS sends warnings when you are about to erase a file but I know it is easy to select Yes when you want No ;-)
