Carol,
To my knowledge, the 340 doesn't come with any software. For a
while, the 330 was coming with Explorations Lite which is not
available for sale. You could get Explortions by OESD or Bernina
Editor Plus software to work with your machine. A Magic Box is still
needed to transfer designs from the computer to a MB card that will
work in your machine.
If you are only interested in more fonts, there is an Explorations
Lettering program which costs less then Explorations Classic. Then
you could upgrade to Explorations Classic when you are ready.
Explorations and Bernina Editor Plus software do not allow you to
digitize. You would need the full Bernina Designer Plus software for
that. BTW-Both software programs were developed by Wilcom.
