There is a fabric etching product that is used on cutwork, but it only works on
certain types of fabric. I believe it works on natural fabrics. So if you are
using a synthetic thread, it would only "dissolve" the fabric and stop at the
thread. I hope someone else can help me out here. I have only seen chatter
about it and haven't used it.

Same thing if you actually USED it! I am working on getting rid of a lot of
my stuff. The bad part is the things I find that I forgot I had and I get
excited all over again about making something. Like the pink peachskin
fabric for cuddly jammies or a nighty and the mile of white turtleneck
fabric now that I am down to only two presentable ones and they are both red
which I rarely wear. Probably why they are still around!

I got a lot of stuff in my sewing room like that. If I would clean out all
the stuff I bought because I was going to try it, I would have a lot of room
in my "thimble size" sewing room.

The Stabilizer is called "Heat-Away Brush Off Stabilizer" it is made by Sulky.
It is heat sensitive to woven fabric that disintegrates with a hot iron, then brushes away. Of course I can't tell you this first hand I am reading it off the package of Heat Away that I bought 2 years ago and never used. Come to think of it I got a lot of stuff in my sewing room like that. If I would clean out all the stuff I bought because I was going to try it, I would have a lot of room in my "thimble size" sewing room.

I made some bookmarks today and it called to use perm.heavy stab. After
they are done,it said to take a stencil burner tool to get rid of the
stab. around the bookmark.Well,I don't have one,so any ideas how else
I can do this? Thanks,Vickie
