Velour Jacket

Carole Piper

A customer has supplied me with two velour jackets. The type with a
zipper and stretch cuffs and bottom waste band. Any suggestions on how
to hoop and stabilize this type of fabric?

Thanks,
Carole

hoop sticky stabilizer. It can be hard to get the sticky off afterward, so I
am still using the old way and I hoop tear-away and use spray adhesive. Do
not hoop velour, it will hoop burn.

The first thing you should do with velour is wash it as it will shrink or pull together when washed. Use a cutaway stabilizers after you have adhered polymesh to the fabric

Hi Doreen,

Thank you for your response. I'm not sure what you mean about
adhering polymesh to the fabric. Can you please explain? I have
sticky back stabelizer but somehow I'm thinking this will not be
strong enough to hold a fairly dense design.
