Re: Long Creek Mills Order

Hi Karen,
I had the same problem and when I called I talked to Pete and he explained
about their computer crashing and they lost a bunch of orders. I would call
again and ask to speak to him, It did get resolved but it did take
awhile....good luck..Barbara

I'm really frustrated as I can't seem to get them to acknowlege there

Hi:
I am a new member to the group and a little new at this. This is
the first post that I've ever sent to the group. I'd like to
introduce myself. My name is Michele and I have been hooked on
machine embroidery for the past 8 years.

I've tried doing some digitizing with PE-Design 4 and have had some
success, but still find it difficult. Does anybody have some advice
or can you recommend a good tutorial? I know of a few, but don't
know which one to invest in. My biggest problem is not knowing how
to get rid of all the jump stitces.

Just to let you know. I've also got a new store on-line. It's been
many months of hard work, but the store is finally coming together
and is now open even though I have tons of products still to upload
as well as my colour charts. The store is called "Not Just Threads
at Potter's Paradise" and the web address is www.not-just-
threads.com. If any member would like to check out my site and let
me know what you think, I'd grately appreciate it. Any advice is
welcome. This store has been a dream of mine for the past three
years. I'm just excited that I finally have it on the net. My
passion for machine embroidery and sewing is what keeps the dream
alive. When it comes to thread I'm like a kid in a candy store.

Hoping we can share some knowlege.

Best Regards,

Michele

Re: question about fonts

I have a question regarding fonts and or monograms. I have many free and purchased designs. I was going thru them to put the first and last initials of my daughters name on something. My question is why aren't all the letters in one design the same height. I have one that the K is 59.8 high, the R is 93.7 and the K is 88.2. Now I only need the R and K at this time, but I was wondering why digitizers don't make them uniformed. To me this is very frusterating. For example if I needed a K and a W it would look really weird. I am talking all caps.

Thanx for any information
Suze

Bernina can use PES

tparkerc59

Hi Deborah: You should be able to use the PES files on your Bernina.
It's the embroidery software that Bernina started with and every
Bernina I've seen can use the PES. I prefer the ART format, but always
use the PES when ART isn't available. Happy stitching, Parker.

Off Topic - Prayer Request

txred1952

Dear Family & Friends,

This was sent to me by my sister, and most f you know how I feel
people know how I feel about prayer. . . . . .it's a good thing.
Please consider, at least, adding your prayers to others on this
date. My son is also in Iraq as are many other mothers' sons. I think
I can safely speak for mothers of all soldiers in Iraq by stating
that we would very much appreciate additional prayers for our sons'
and daughters' safety. One way of accomplishing this for our sons' &
daughters' safety is by praying for the Iraqi people and country.

Regardless of your religious affiliation, please join the LDS in
prayer on January 21st for the four items listed below.

Thank you,

TXRed

Subject: FW: Fast & Prayer Request

This was forwarded by one of my daughter's neighbors in Idaho Falls.
What a great idea! We can put our faith to work on something
practical that we can all agree on no matter what our religious or
political persuasion is.

Earlene McDonald

Dear Brothers and Sisters,

Our son Jeff is currently serving in a very dangerous area, Fallujah,
Iraq. Today he forwarded an email that is circulating amont LDS
priesthood holders serving with him..

The following is from an email generated by Lt. Col. Rod Allen, USMC,
1-1-07.

*LDS service men and women are organizing a special fast and prayer
on January 21st, to solicit the Lord's blessings not only for the
nation of Iraq, but for the areas of worst violence.

*They intend to have a kneeling word of prayer, wherever they are on
that day to invoke the Lord's blessings on the nation.

1) That good will prevail

2) That civic and tribal leaders will make right and honorable
decisions.

3) That anti-Iraqi Forces (AIF) plans will fail

4) That the Iraqi people will develop faith in the democratic
process, rise up in support of their government and push the AIF out
of their communities.

"We believe too much has been sacrificed to allow our efforts here in
Iraq to fail. We can make a difference. If we do this with faith,
great things will happen."

Will you join us on January 21st?

I used the recipe when my son came for dinner Friday. We loved it. He usually is very picky about sweets and only likes certain ones, but ate and ate the "Christmas Crack", and so did I.

Thanks for the recipe!!

Re: Bernina deco 340

tparkerc59

Hi Carol:

Yes, you can embroider on children's jeans with the Deco 340. You
will just have to undo the side seam. You'll find the Deco 340 to be
a very versitile machine. ---->Parker

PS: As the grandmother to 4 grandsons (all under age of 4), I hope
your little one is feeling MUCH better.

Re: Velour Jacket

Carole Piper

Hi Doreen,

Thank you for your response. I'm not sure what you mean about
adhering polymesh to the fabric. Can you please explain? I have
sticky back stabelizer but somehow I'm thinking this will not be
strong enough to hold a fairly dense design.

Re: Things That Really Bug Me - ART FORMATS.... FREE

I downloaded Wilcom today and I couldn't save in ART! Made me mad, cause I downloaded the newest one and it was still the same. Am I missing something. You can convert from art with almost everything now, but not to ART. Mudd
