I loved YOUR letter, enthusiasm, and spunk! You said a mouth full of truth, girl! I think we are all more alike than NOT! And mostly in a very caring way...AND as you said...like sisters! Love to all - Nancy B. I am listed in more then one group and even with the agitation of the last week, it was the most fun I had in the past month of being on groups. Yes I do love the spunk and impatience of Venus but most the rapidity that she answers anyone who asks anything and that she is willing to get the info for you if she doesn't know already. She is very important to this group. I also love Pamela and Nancy and Carol (yes in Texas) and all of you who had something to say even the thrashing it just in the end meant that you all cared. I laughed so hard this week, it was like a family with a bunch of sisters bickering, you know like Laura Ingalls pulling Marie's hair. So I guess in the end it is a big family and everyone knows something that the other doesn't know and that's the best way to learn. Personaly even if I am new to embroidery and sometimes don't understand what is going on, I keep at it and don't DELETE ANYTHING without reading first and I read even if I don't like what is written... The reason is you always learn something. I don't block anyone (even those who thrashed me when it was my turn a week ago) since I don't want to miss anything. So Judy, I would keep at it and when you see something that you don't understand on an email, reply personaly to that person so it won't show on everyones mail so this way you will have privacy and will be comfortable to ask your question. ( to send a message privately, if you don't know just say so I will email you privately and explain) Finaly, if you have a question even one that you think might be stupid, there are many that will answer in a heart beat without judging... funniest part is the nicest and fastest person to answer for the last week any question and I mean any question for the last week apart from Miems is Venus so those of you out there that are worried that she might not have the patience , forget it, she just answers to just about everything and there are others that do the same like Pamela or Nancy, so you see keep at it and it's better doing with people that do know. New to the Group, & A Question
Morning Star Ink
Hi...
I got an email the other day inviting me to join this group. Perhaps this is something Yahoo does when your in the database on similar groups. Anyhoo, I'm happy I signed up and I can tell there is a lot of knowledge out there. Here's a bit about me before I head on to my question. I have a commercial embroidery machine. I purchased it approx a year and a half ago. Business has been great. My only complaint is that when I got my machine (Tajima) the software that came with it was very limited (Pulse Signature Mosaic Level). No digitizing, no sizing, just merging stock designs and doing some custom lettering. To upgrade is like a Billion $$$$. Well, okay, not quite a Billion, but it really seems that way. I've been doing pretty good by getting digitizing companies to do my customer's designs, but would really like to do it myself. I see Miems and so many others on the net doing such beautiful work, I wonder what software you are all using? Is the cost fairly reasonable? I took a peek at Miems tutorial, it looks soooo easy... or maybe she just makes it seem that way *grin*. Well, that's it for now. Any suggestions would be great. Barb K. Athabasca, Alberta, CANADA |

What a beautiful letter. You must be a very special person. These groups mean a lot to me. I love hearing what everyone is doing. Hearing where everyone is from and yes we all are different but basicly the same. Keep up the good work. Hugs Martha in Ky. -----Subject: [HookedOnEmbroidery] Your moderator feel so sad!!!!!!!!!! My dear friends I feel so sad. Members unsubscribe cause they just can't take it any more. Why? Please can't we just for one day think of others instead of our own feelings and frustrations? We are in the process of loosing real honoust, soft harted and decent people. Please may I beg you to be kind to one another. We are 1,700 members, all with different backgrounds, different believes but all with harts of gold and a good inside. Why would I say that? If you join a group and realy wants to learn and make friends, there must be alot of good in. Please my dear friends let us see the sun shine on each and every body. We are not in competition with each other. Please live and let live. Let us help those who still try so hard to find there feet in the computer and embroidery field. You know what? I joined my first group after I lost my husband after 22 years of marriage. He died right in front of me( heartatache). I seek comfort, help and myself in the groups. We are all so vunerable(hope my spelling don't let me down) We all are women, the best creation God ever made. We on this group can make the difference.Just for once give your unconditional love to one another. There are leaders and I believe with Venus knowledge she is one. Ladys she did not mean to harm anybody. She did not mean to torn my group apart. Please forgive, forget and let us all get pass this and give her our unconditional love and support. You will be surpriced what big difference a little love can make Love Miems Moderater |

Re: New embroiderer question
Carolyn Faulk
Something I told a fairly new embroiderer a few weeks ago was "it is only thread and only fabric, so enjoy it. Start out doing designs on some old clothing that you would not be sad if things did not go well." (Or on nightgowns that no one will see but you and your family) Well, she got going on embroidering and is having a ball.........and even has some nice things to wear with embroidery on them. :)
We have all had the same worries about getting started, but the more you embroider, the easier it will become. :) Before you know it, you will be answering people's questions and on the list!! <gggggg> I wish you all the best! :) ============================= I am totally new to machine embroidery. Question.......
Judy Lehman
I am totally new to machine embroidery. My husband down loads my patterns
for me and I plug them into my machine. All I have done is embroidery patterns on a piece of fabric, never a garment or anything else. I think maybe I am in the wrong group, I need a Beginning Group. I feel like I spend all my time converting thread colors over to Isacorde colors. I love what I have done, but now I feel I am ready to move on. Any suggestions would be very much appreciated. Update: Charlie at Long Creek Mills
Carolina Embroidery
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts. Charlie
received over 200 get well wishes from the wonderful embroiderers on the lists. He was so touched by the outpouring of messages. They helped him through a difficult time. Charlie is out of the hospital now, the last time I wrote he was going in for one more surgery. The second time did the trick, he was feeling much better and was able to go home. After being gone for 2 months, he is back at work about 2 hours a day! At 76 yrs. of age he is talking about "taking some time off to do some things." (big grin) Pete and Alice Moore have started plans to build at a new location down the street. Be sure to say hello to Pete and Alice when you call, they are just as kind and wonderful as Charlie is! click on the Long Creek Mills page for more information. and tell them Christine sent you! :~) ===== join our newsletter! __________________________________ Do you Yahoo!?
