I have bought several quilts at rummage sales for next to nothing - I can't help but "rescue" any I see - at least I give them good homes, LOL.

I used to do a lot of cross-stitch by hand, and I see so many cross stitched items at yard sales, I still want to cry when I see one. My husband (retired Navy) feels the same way about seeing someone's medals end up in a yard sale or junk shop, and my sister (a geneologist) hates to see old unidentified photographs. Some of the things you see at yard sales and so forth just make you wonder how some people can have so little regard for handcrafting or family history. But I guess you never really know what's behind it.

I would love to, but last time i tried to pick him up and move out the way, he woke up and focused on me with his one good eye. I thought it had died, as he just lay there for several hours.
I dont like snakes, and i reckon i broke an Olympic record in running that day :)

If you have PEDesign, you can pull up the design, highlight it and hit
duplicate in the tools drop down list. That way you could duplicate the
flag in the largest hoop size you have with a "pattern" you've made.
For example...I might duplicate the flag 9 times, drag and drop each
flag to be about 3 inches apart, with maybe 3 lines into a 6x10 in
frame. That way you'll only need to rehoop as you go along.
Does this make sense?

My DH, DD & I often go watch stock car racing at
several local tracks. Some of these races are held on
dirt. As you might imagine it gets very dirty. I see
people bring nice quilts and hand knit or crochet
afgans to sit on or to wrap up in. I see these and
think if my family ever did that I'd shoot them! I
don't mind regular wear & tear. I'll repair if I need
to and smile while doing it. If it is beyond repair
then I don't care if they walk on it.

Dear "charms"

Why couldn't you load up a whole (largest hoop your machine takes) hoop
full of those flags spaced the way you wanted them and, if your software
allows it, make the design "endless" (Viking and Pfaff software have this
option). Then if you color sort your design you would not have to rethread
for each tiny flag, but you WOULD have LOTS of jumpstitches.

It COULD work, but I have to admit you would be a few strands of hair short
at the end... ha ha....

Another senior moment (:0( A few weeks back I saw a set of geometric
designs in hot colors shown on a black background. They looked like
designs made with a laser light. After the holidays I wasn't buying
ANYTHING- of course, now I want them & have no clue who created them.

Please tell me if you have any idea where I can find them.
