Re: IDEAS

I don't see the "thank yous" as clutter Venus, I see it as good manners.

I think that the present way that Miems is doing is now working very well. A very special thank you to all those who have helped! However I do believe that an attachment would work fine for most, but then you will run into someone not having Winzip or other unzip applications. I definitely disagree or picking one particular format. Pamie G. -----Original Message-----

Venus, cup wraps

Venus, just wanted to let you know that dh was so pleased with his 'bottle' wrap! And, now my dd wants one with fairies on it, the neighbors are asking for cup wraps and it appears I'll be making a slew over the next few days. Thanks so much, it's nice to find a project that I can give as little gifts (I'm using up lots of leftover material) to our wonderful friends and neighbors!

Re: Test

I found out the hard way why Yahoo may bounce us without our knowing. Several weeks ago I quit getting email from any of my yahoo lists. I couldn't figure out why. I sent several emails to yahoo, since I could still get into "my groups" and all showed me as active. Then I called my isp. It seems on a particular Friday their server went down for a brief period. However, since I do get so many emails, my isp bounced several hundred mails back to yahoo. They froze my lists. It took an act of Congress (well, almost) from my isp to yahoo to get it all re-instated. Call your isp and find out if they've had server problems. Have them contact yahoo. Yahoo will send you a link to unfreeze your lists. Laura

Re: IDEAS

Yes that was my thought too that many people have their accounts to not accept attachment. My thought were that I would bet that is a very small % and Miems would want to upload the freebies to the files anyway for those joining in the future. I also think that was very nice of Barbra to host the designs on her site. I thought about this myself but my bandwidth is limited. We still have the problem of those that do not read the download instructions and post where the designs are. I still stand by Charlottes idea of sending the freebie as an attachment. It makes the most sense to me.

The learning process is often quite slow for newbies to computers, lists, and downloads, if we have patience & willingly offer help to the individuals, who are having problems, the process will smooth out.
