My daughter could of died had she kept eating it every morning on her waffles/toast. So for the one negitive I just wanted to say thank you FOR posting it.

Dear Embroidery Friends,

We are very pleased to announce a new project just perfect for these
days when it's too cold to spend time outside (at least where we are!).
We have a brand new set of 10 Door Hangers featuring boys, girls and
babies. Samantha is our resident helper and she picks fabrics and
colors for us for the embroidery.

Please click here to see the whole set.

These designs require a 5 x 7 hoop. The main portion of the message area
and the hook area are done with applique, which makes these sew out much
faster than if the entire area were filled with stitches. This lets you
use any fabric that you choose - and then you can coordinate the outline
colors with your fabric. Complete steps for doing applique on your
machine are included with the instructions sent out with this design
set.

The message/name area is blank so that you can add whatever you like.
You could use the lettering in your machine to add a name or a saying.
We added Samantha's name to one sample to give you an idea. She wants a
second one that says "no boys allowed". (She's seven!). She is going to
add that with fine point pigma pens and then add some crystals to it to
give it some "bling". These could also be embellished with scrap book
type cutouts or foamy shapes if you have a little helper who wants to
decorate for you.

We hope you'll find a minute to stop by and see this new set. We would
love to "see" you!

Best wishes,

Nantucket Lightship Basket

sewwhatnantucket

Hello,

I am looking for a Nantucket basket design. It doesn't have to have a
cover, or be filled, but since it is a signature item here on island I
really should be able to offer it to my clients!

I would also be willing to commission a design if one of the digitizers
would be interested.

Thank you for your time and attention.

Sincerely,
Ruth Anne

There is a fabric etching product that is used on cutwork, but it only works on
certain types of fabric. I believe it works on natural fabrics. So if you are
using a synthetic thread, it would only "dissolve" the fabric and stop at the
thread. I hope someone else can help me out here. I have only seen chatter
about it and haven't used it.

It sounded like a fun group so I tried to join... I couldn't find it
either.... It kept saying I typed it in wrong.

The only reason I ban members is:
1. that they are sharing designs
2. rude to other members on my groups
3.or they belong to group who are known to share other peoples

4.Maybe you forgot to read the rules about posting.
Then I do ban them..
If none of the above applies to you then you are not ban.

Re: opinions needed

Carol Powell

--- In HookedOnEmbroidery@...,
Hi, Jodi,
I would use a sewing machine and use invisible nylon thread. Use the
invisible thread on the top only and matching thread in the bobbin.
Invisible thread is stronger. Also, remember to loosen the top
tension just a little because this kind of thread doesn't need much.
I use invisible thread to machine quilt and it is just great. Hope
this was helpful..........Carol

would
it be best to use a straight stitch, or would a satin be best? Any
other advice would be most welcome and appreciated. I also suggested
to him that I could put his name on the shirts, and he liked that
idea. It's really amusing that I bumped into him and his girlfriend
in the sewing dept. at WalMart and was helping them pick out thread
and needles, and they came up with the idea that I could do it
instead
of the girlfriend. They were complete strangers, I was just helping
them out as I was browsing after work. You just never know when
opportunity will knock. Looking forward to advice! Thanks loads,
