If they dropped you they will not necessarily notify you or tell you why. Ask me how I know. Sharon McKinley ----- Original Message ----

Sent: Thursday, February 15, 2007 2:06:30 AM Subject: [HookedOnEmbroidery] I lost a Group I am/was a member of a Yahoo group that I can't seem to find. I had it listed as BDI Fun. I looked through 825 embroidery groups tonight and still had no luck. I really like this group and it was full of all kinds of chit chat. I do miss it for other reasons but I have to say the main thing that is driving me nuts right now is that they were having a contest to find a picture in the Photos section that was messed up in some way. Now this is really driving me crazy that I will NEVER find out what picture it was and what was wrong with it. LOL My hubby says I am majorly OCD and I guess this is just proving it to him. If I'm trying to think of a name I will repeat the alphabet over and over until I figure it out. LOL So please please help me find this group before I go completely bonkers. TIA Gloria |
Re: Fried Amazing Box?
Sharon McKinley
It sounds like my machine does when I have my card loaded with too many stitches. Even if the designs fit on the card it does not mean that there are not too many stitches involved. Try downloading a design that has fewer stitches to your card and see if it will open. If it does you have solved the problem.

I'm not sure if the box or the card is fried. I was loading some designs when the computer froze up. after that, I was never able to get the computer to connectto the box. I kept getting an error message that the port could not be opened. I put the card into both machines - PE 150 and a PC 8200 - and each one screamed as if in pain. I have been having computer problems so I don't know if it qwas that. So I tried installing on my old laptop which didn't work at all because the software needs a Pentium ll or higher and laptop is 8-1/2 years old with a P 1 . I took the box and software to my son's, next door and tried there. His is a newer computer and it wouldn't work there either. Does anyone know how to tell if the box is totally useless or can be fixed? Or do I just suffer through using built in designs until I can afford a new box? Marcia, boo-hooing in Maine |

Rose, Ihave uses "Peggys Stitch Eraser" and I love it. It works great
for me. It sure beats trying to remove the stiches with a seam ripper and tweezers. Besides my embroidery machine it was one of the best investsments I 've made. sincerely, Daphne --- In HookedOnEmbroidery@..., "Rose" <aprettyrose47@...> wrote:

Re: Anyone tired Peggy's Stitch Eraser?
Yes, I had one of the Peggy's Stitch Erasers and it worked just fine when it was new.
Then since I had the rechargeable model it pooped out after a couple years. If you do get one, be sure it is the plug in model. It is a lot of money and you can accomplish the same thing by buying the Wahl Peanut clippers at either Walmart or one of the beauty supply houses for a much better price. Be sure to get the plug in model if you decide to purchase. If you need instructions on how to use it, feel free to write. Janice Grandi Las Vegas |

Sorry to say stuff like that happens. I was banned from a similar group for something someone else said in response to an item I was defending and was banned from all their related groups as well. Oh well, I only know I would not buy a thing from that digitizer. Thank goodness there are many other groups and many wonderful digitizers out there. I haven't missed them at all. Life is too short to sweat it. And I'm sure they don't miss me, there are many other customers out there as well ;-) I know you hadn't made any comments at all on your site so maybe someone clicked a wrong thing by mistake. Hope you get reinstated if that is what you want. I'm not on that group so can't help you with the answer to the contest. Susie SQ www.embroideryfriends.com |

Embroidery Nets
Embroidery! Just Because
Hi Everyone. I'm new to this group and have been browsing almost all
day at the different sites and all the beautiful items you have. I'm still new to embroidery (8 months) and will probably be asking lots of questions. What I have found in my early stage of the embroidery world is that the threads get all over the place when not in use. So, I did some major hunting around to find a solution to this problem. I did find nets that go over the threads when not in use and they work great and are very soft. I am now selling them in my ebay store which is Gifts and Kits if anyone is interested in purchasing them. You can also buy them from me without using ebay if paying by money order. Thanks. LOL.I found that on underlay, I still had to pick the small stitches. It was
easier to just put a seam ripper under a row and rip it all out and then pick. They work well on sideburns and neck hair.LOLOL Patty *NEW* Artwork for digitizers _____ From: HookedOnEmbroidery@... Rose, We were not tired when we tried it but ... My wife found it worked pretty good when she had to remove about 11,000 stitches that I put through my 5x7 plastic template when sewing part of Santi's peacock from Hatched in Africa. She salvaged part of the tail she may use as decoration for something, but the template is a little sick in the lower right section. I now try to keep my embroidery area free of objects that don't belong. (Patty - maybe you can teach Kathie how to use it to give me a haircut). Kent in Trenton, Ontario, Canada ---,___ |
