AD New Luck O' The Irish Wall Hanging from PJ's Designs

Tere Sanders

PJ has released a brand new wall hanging just in time for St. Paddy's day. This adorable project is done completely in the hoop and is easy to make. You can see it here -

Be sure to check out all of PJ's fun in the hoop projects, too -

Thanks and happy stitching,

Tere

Re: How To Hang It

Janet Evans

Go to this link and check out the instructions and pictures. If this
doesn't explain clearly enough, you can go to Google.com and type in "how to
make a quilt sleeve" and you will get more options.

Hope this helps.

Bear with me, as I'm new to this.

I am making a wall hanging type embroidery for close friends of mine for
their anniversary.

I know that when I'm done I will create a fabric border, and back it and I
kind of think I know what to do there . . .but how do you hang it?

I need some instruction please.

Any help with finishing this off would be so appreciated!

Thanks in advance.

SONIA / Angel- AMAZING!!

Marcia Greene

Any objection to sending a different angel? I have a Marie Osmond angel
stored in the Brother 8200. That is all I can use until I solve the
converter box problem.

Re: Is RinsAway Tearaway The Same as H2O Gone?

Kristin Beckstead

They are not at all the same according to the company. I tried the
RinsAway on some FSL and it was a disaster!! The package says, "Use a
damp sponge or launder to remove remaining excess." Well, I can tell
that after being through a complete wash cycle and soaking in various
water temperatures, the stuff does not disappear. I can send you a
picture if you want. What a waste of 3 spools of thread! (Yes, I
sewed all of the lace out because it never occurred to me that the
product was other than represented.)

I called the company and they told me that it would "disappear after a
few washings" -- this is NOT what the package says. I have never tried
H2O Gone. (HTCW is supposed to send me a sample because I called and
complained. They manufacture both products.)

I have never tried Vilene so I cannot speak about it.

I have had great success with the OESD Aqua Mesh -- melts faster than
sugar in warm water and held up well during stitching a 4.5 x 7" piece
of lace -- thanks to the suggestions of the wonderful people on this
group.

Good luck!

Kristin

Angel of Light

Marcia Greene

Last night was the night I was going to load the Angel of Light and some
other designs onto my Amazing Box card. For some reason, lately, I have
been having a lot of trouble with several things not working anymore. The
first thing was the modem. It would connect then nothing. Now the A Box
has quit- I get a message that the port could not be opened.

I thought I would try it in the laptop - an older one my sister gave me, but
it only has a Pentium 1 processor and the box needs P2 or higher.

I am wondering if my main computer is getting ready to quit, like the hard
drive or the processor. Programs are getting slower and slower to load.

Anybody have any ideas of what the problem might be?

OT: Lost Cat

Someone just sent this to me, thought I would pass it on. I am
still laughing....lol. Hope noone is offended. Pat

A man absolutely hated his wife's cat and decided to get rid of
him one day by driving him 20 blocks from his home and leaving
him at the park. As he arrived home, the cat was walking up the
driveway.

The next day he decided to drive the cat 40 blocks away. He put
the beast out and headed home. Driving back up his driveway,
there was the cat!
He kept taking the cat further and further, and the cat would
always beat him home.
At last he decided to drive a few miles away, turn right, then left,
past the bridge, then right again and another right until he reached
what he thought was a safe distance from his home and left the
cat there.

Hours later the man calls home to his wife: "Jen, is the cat there?"

"Yes", the wife answers, "why do you ask?"

Frustrated, the man answered, "Put the little b*stard on the phone,
I'm lost and need directions to get home."

Diane,
When you say your Granddaughter has been tested for Crohn's and Celiac Disease, what tests have they done? My DD was diagnosed w/Crohn's almost 2 yrs. ago. They did a colonoscopy and endoscopy, and from what I've read, those are the most reliable tests. They started out with a Cat Scan and that did show inflammation in the bowel, and then did the scopes. They found the ulcerations, and did biopsies, of course was positive for Crohn's. Jodi

Re: How To Hang It

lizziharri

Colleen, I used to add tabs to the top or sew a hanging cord to
corners, but on recent wall hangings I did something different. I was
going to put a complete facing on the back and the front had piping
all around. I took a small dowell and notched around the ends about a
quarter inch from the ends. I wrapped the hanging cord around the
notches and sewed the dowell inside the sandwich of front and backing
and it has support to keep it straight but only the gold hanging cord
visible. On another one I did this and also included a dowell in the
bottom. Hope you can understand my gibberish. It is nearly one A.M.
here and I am headed to bed. Libby in TN

Hey Mom

Just had to say that the Blue Willow looks outstanding! I remember going
through that story in English class when I was still in school and loved it!
I've always had a soft spot for these type of legendary tales and this one
was definitely one of my favorites. Just the names always eluded me a bit :)

Outstanding attention to detail, must have taken ages, but definitely worth
it! :)

Lots of Love!

Ramon

Brenda, I'm sorry to hear that. Maybe someone here with a D1 has some suggestions? Density should not be a problem.
I sewed about six of them without any problems. Is the H2gone holding up...I don't really know that product, but thinking it's like
Vilene? I used two layers of Vilene.
Also, what size needle are you using and what type of thread? Is the thread catching on something maybe?

Yes, if you want you can send the other angel. I will find out her birth month if you decide to do that.
Thank you so much!

Sonia I tried stitching the angel on my designer 1 and I broke 5 needles within 1000 stitches, but i had done 1-4000 stitches before the 1st break. any suggestions? I used h2gone. I'm going to try again tomorrow if I can't get it would it be okay for me to send an birthstone angel I just had bought and started doing them. Do you know the month of birth? I'll make one in that color. Brenda in Md
