This week we are having a Valentines Day sale. There will be a 20% discount on all designs in the categories Angels, Beauties, Oriental and Valentine. The sale lasts only a week, until 12:00 AM on February 19.

A whole three new doilies have been added to our store. The FSL Crochet Shamrock Doily is unique among all our other doilies in that it can be turned into a bowl by stitching together the edges, as shown on the photos on the designs page.

The FSL Crochet Fan Doily uses fabric, and makes for a very attractive table centerpiece. The FSL Crochet Oval Bow Doily Set consists of two parts, and is available only for the mega hoop in the PES and DST formats.

Our collection of alphabets has been updated with two new additions. The Oriental Alphabet is in the cross stitch technique and features Japanese-style decorations. The Flower Garden Alphabet is in the Redwork technique and features all kinds of flowers, with each letter having its unique decoration. We used the designs from this alphabet to make a Happy Easter Table Runner, which you will find in our Projects section.

The new Fantasy Flower Appliqu is a set of 3 embroidery patterns. They are great for embellishing clothes, bags, pillows and quilts. The two corresponding projects show how the designs can be used to decorate a sweatshirt. We've also added a new project featuring a very novel way to use embroidery: decorating a wooden cabinet.

There are 12 different angels (one for each month). You embroidery them in the color of the birthstone of the month. I want to get the hot fix crystals and add one for that month. Then you hang them with metallic threads. Hope this helps clarify.

Colleen the answer is NO Vilene looks like a used fabric softener sheet. For making the angels for Brandi ,you only need one layer of Vilene. To have it a bit stiff just ruin tap water over it to remove the bits of excess Vilene.

My friend is in search of designs for the babay/toddler cloth books. I
know I've seen some but did not make a note of where. Can anyone send
me a lin if you know where to purchare them? Thanks!

If you enjoy gold and gems, you might also enjoy sewing some
jewelry items onto clothing, pillow fronts, pant legs, tote
bags, jewelry bags, etc.

These designs can be used with the addition of crystals or
used as they are.
(The text files have some suggestions for placement for the
crystals)
I plan to add crystals to the site sample sweatshirt when I
find my long-lost crystals and heat wand.

These are really great to embroider for that friend who loves
her "bling".
*There are some sayings included in the set for more versatility.

***TIP***
When I assemble many small designs into an arrangement on
a garment, I try to cut the stabilizer away around each of the
separate items if at all possible. I want the fabric (especially
knits)to move freely. If the entire area is all one piece of
stablizer, the fabric will have a more stiff appearance.
Of course, it may not be possible to get scissors between some
embroideries, but if you can separate the sewn areas, you might
be pleased with how the garment looks after laundering, etc...

Once in awhile with a design I purchase and download, some of the
steps for the stitch out are out of order or 2 parts of the design
show on my sewing machine screen instead of one. For example, a sew
in the hoop design I just did only the satin stitch for the edge was
supposed to stitch, but a section of the flower design also showed on
my sewing machine screen and sewed out as well. If the stitch out
sections are out of order (and sometimes it's hard to tell with just
small sections on the screen at a time) then it will sew right over
the portion already stitched when actually it should be under. It's
hard to explain, so I hope this is understandable!! Has anyone else
had this problem? Is there a solution? I will appreciate any help I
can get. Oh yes, I have a Pfaff 2140. Myrna
