Thread LIne
rupiglet2000
Thread Exchange is having their semi annual pound sale and I bought
some. I recieved some Marathon and Arc thread. I also received a few spools of a brand called Airplane. Does anyone know anything about this brand of thread? Have you ever used it? Does it stitch well? How about breakage? Does it play well with most machines? I have a Brother machine. Phew now that I have spit all that out. Thanks for your input. Marge |

Dear Embroidery Friends
I have just uploaded my latest collections in Redwork: My Botanical Garden, and My Botanical Garden 2. I have also uploaded the latest freebie :-) We all love flowers, but I have a special soft spot for flowers in their natural surroundings with respective elements. So, I put together this collection of what I you would see in my botanical garden :-) Enjoy! :-) Stitching Greetings Ramon -- Internal Virus Database is out-of-date. Checked by AVG Free Edition. need blank clock design
John Cook
Now that sounds stupid, doesn't it? What I need is a design that has a very small mark where the numbers need to be placed. That way, I can put whatever design I choose for the numbers and be assured that they will be in the correct position. I do not digitize, I do not sell at craft fairs, I do not do anything for profit period. I am strictly a "Sunday Sewer". I won't be using this knowledge to compete against anyone. This is a promise. The largest hoop I have is a 240x150 for the H/V (HUS) machine, so anything bigger will not suit my purposes.
If anyone wants to take pity on my plight, but worries that someone else my use it against them, please feel free to send me info off group. You may reach me at dj_cook@... Thanks so much. Denise |

Hi there,

One piece of advice I was given for removing blood is to use some of your spit as apparently it has something to do with your DNA it does work as long as it is the same blood as the spit Judi ---- Original Message ----

Re: Thread storage

Pat, on 4th Feb you said "I'm ready to go shopping as I have mine on racks,
some of which are for small thread spools and the mini-con embroidery threads are very precarious and often fall off!!". I too had this problem until someone suggested (ages ago) that I use pieces of drinking straw (I cut mine into 3 to give just that little extra length) fitted over the "spike" on the rack will hold the spools. It works like a charm. If the bases of the spools are wide I alternately turn them upside down to make maximum use of the rack. HTH short term! I like Sue's DH's solution because it keeps the spools dust free so I am going to go and hunt down the UK equivalent of the materials and boxes he used for Sue's system. Thank you Sue and Sue's DH for this wonderful idea and for sharing with us. Diana in the UK |

Kerrie
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~TIP~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Don't forget organza to give your design collection a whole new look! Most designs can be stitched on it without stabilizer (a big plus). Use it to make curtains, table runners, aprons or a great vest with lacy designs to wear over a favorite blouse. It also washes beautifully. I have a curtain I made with my geisha designs and it's been washed many, many times yet looks like new. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ NEW DESIGNS: All new designs are on INTRODUCTORY PRICING (except fun sets) and all have FREE SAMPLES. *POSTCARDS - ALL OCCASION* Due to many requests, we've created a set of cards for all those occasions that pop up during the year. The lettering is all done as a separate color stop so you can eliminate it and add your own - or just have the design on the front of the card. *WINDOW - owl* by Fred Piercing eyes amidst lush green foliage. Another must see Window set. *WINDOW - FLORAL EXPRESSIONS III* This picture features a huge pink and white water lily surrounded by lush green leaves. Re: Need advice on crazy computer problem PLEASE!!!!
Hi Sharon,
I had this problem a few years ago. If my memory serves me correctly, I had to unstall WinZip and then download and reinstall it. Hope this helps. Pam M. --- In HookedOnEmbroidery@..., "Sharon" <stitchinginblfd@...> wrote: have been using this same computer for 2 years and downloaded many designs and now all of a sudden I'm having a problem that I can't figure out. When I click to downlaod a design, I do not get the usual download box, but it is automatically opening the file and putting it in my temporary internet file. I DO NOT like this at all since I am so careful to scan all downloaded files before I ever open them. I am not given a choice as to whether I want to open or save....it's just doing it's own thing....without letting me have a say-so.....just like my kids...LOL! what is happening or how to change it back. Has this happened to anyone else and if so how did you fix it? I hope I am making sense to everyone.
