Preparation H thanks Patience

John Cook

Patience wrote that she used the suppository type of preparation H under her eyes and it worked with noticeable results. She also said she used the cream version and nothing happened. This is EXACTLY what I wanted to know. Preparation H makes at least four different types of applicable substances and I didn't want to have to go through the expense of having to purchase all of them to see what works. Could you see me walking to the cash register, my arms full of every form of Prep H that they make? Can you imagine what the clerk would think? What would someone think if they peeked into my bathroom cabinet and found the leftovers? Who here is not laughing? Denise

Re: un zipping downloaded files

Deanna Currie

Some of them don't. I have to use Wilcom Truesizer to give them some stitches, etc. as they state they are invalid or corrupt files otherwise. I haven't ried Winzip.

Hi,
What I ended up doing is restoring by hard drive back to what it was
at the start this morning. That fixed the problem and now I can use
my Embird again. This is the second time Norton Security Systems Go
Back feature has saved my bacon. That was a scary feeling!! Thanks
for trying to help but restarting didn't do a thing....Carol--- In

Re: Glad Press and Seal

The press and seal is not suppose to wash out. It is used to keep the nap of
a towel or the like from poking through the design. If you use wss on the top
of a towel, it washes out and then the nap will start to show through your
design, I personally don't want that. Its like using the soil separator.. we
find some wonderful non conventional uses for many things... Finding that most
of these non conventional things are made so much like the expensive
stabilizers I do not see where this would void any warranty...but that is just MHO...

Darlene,
Quilt University is where you can take course to learn about quilting, applique, paper piecing, etc. www.quiltuniversity.com Also, a good place to start is Quilt in a Day. They sell books on quilting, etc, and DVD's that go with the books that are region free. www.quiltinaday.com You will really like it, and they are very reasonable. Good luck!

Re: question, Enjoy the description

Margaret E. Minton

Oh, no, Press & Seal is not the stuff you use in a machine. Press & Seal looks like your regular plastic wrap, only slightly cloudy, but it will stick to the edge of the bowl, so things don't leak out.

I have used it to quilt - but just once! The idea is that you can draw your quilting designs on it, then stitch along the lines and remove the Press & Seal. Allegedly easier than marking them with pencil, chalk, etc. What I found was that it was more difficult to remove afterwards. So I'll go back to sealing bowls with it. :o)

Pess & Seal is similar to plastic wrap but much stronger..It is used in a machine that you place your food, for the freezer, on, fold it over the food and the machine presses the open seam closed and whalla you have press and seal and no air can get into the food while in the freezer.
Preparation H.....this is a medicine you put on yourself when you have terrible hemoroids and you just can't sit down long. This is supposed to shrink them back up into your system.. Trying to be polite here..hummmmmm thus the hopeful female that uses this stuff on their face of all places..Oh, yuck but some do and swear they loose wrinkles...well, along with that they might go blind, have warts for life and all this for preparation H..whooooooo not me, I'll
tell ya. No thank U.
Hope this sheds some light on the subject
Well, its almost one in the morning so I'm quitting for now.
Hugs,
