They have free designs and I know there were some dogs on there but I don't know which ones. Go the search4designs.com and in their search engine type "dogs" and you will find a whole list of websites that have free embroidery designs of dogs. You get unlimited searches for what ever you want for a whole week before you have to decide to join for small amount of money. I went crazy downloading free designs that I thought my computer was going to crash but it didn't. After your free week, you still get 4 searches a day. Good Luck!! Carol Char S |

He will honor the warranty, I'm sure of that. Don't know what brand you want, but you might go the the brand's website and look for the nearest dealer for the brand you want. Good luck! Carol |
ISO Embroidery Pattern Viewer
PJR
I'm looking for a good, easy (cheap wouldn't be bad either, LOL) way to view all my embroidery patterns. Ideally, I'd like something that will work similar to how Windows Explorer does with graphic files when you use thumbnail mode. I want to see the file structure, view thumbnails, and be able to copy, move, rename, etc. from there.
I don't need something that organizes for me, I have my own system for that. I also have other utilities for unzipping, finding duplicates, and actually working with the designs (resizing, etc.). All I want is a good way to look thru what I have. I'm sure there must be many programs that do that, or perhaps even a cheap or free utility. Any ideas greatly appreciated, and sorry for the cross-post, just want all suggestions possible so I can finish my spring clean, LOL. Merriweather |
Re: I have a question for the group
Hi Barbara,
I had a futura CE100 and had nothing but problems with it. I had to send it back to Singer Corp twice(at my expense which was about $35)for the same problem. They would send me a new machine and after a few minutes of stitching the bobbin case would "jump" out of the place where it sits and the needle would go right through the plastic. When I called the customer service center the rep pretty much called me a liar and send "that isn't possible". I finally spoke to a manager who then told me that it was a manufacturing defect in the metal bracket that the bobbin case sits in. I told her the problems that I had with the cust service dept and that I had purchased a Singer machine because of their good reputation, but that I would never buy another Singer. They sent me a new machine that was manufactured after that defect was fixed. I used that machine for about a year when it started to make a metal-on- metal schreeching noise. I took it to a singer dealer to see about getting it fixed and was told that she didn't know without taking it all apart and there were no guarantees. She gave me almost what i originally paid for the machine in store credit and i upgraded to the Brother 4000D which I absolutely love. There are many that have the Singer and sing praises but I unfortunately did not have good luck. I have a Babylock Emp6 for over a year now. I love the machine. It runs great , does beautiful embroidery & a great warranty behind it.( Gold Standard)
I only had Janome's till I got the EMP6 now I just recently purchased my 2nd babylock . The EMp6 with it's hat hoops it's a breeze to do hats, Have you been to the babylock dealer? Test drive the machine. No matter what dealer you check with the price for the machine should be close to the other dealer's. But I would go with the local dealer as he can give you lessons and possibly throw in extras as well work on the machine. that means alot . Good luck with you purchase of a new machine. |

Thanks everyone who replied. Am investigating Embird and the
tutorials. Bu looks like it will have to go on hold for a while. My husband has just decided we are going to Tasmania for a couple of months in a van he is converting . He is putting in a bed and a very basic kitchen in the back. I have to make the curtains and find bedding to fit the bed. Have wanted to see Tasmania. For us it will be a budget trip but we're told it's so pretty there. No room for computer or sewing machine though. Hope I can weather the withdrawal symptoms. Thanks again to those who replied.
