You have got to join the futura group. Tina, the moderator will help you. She just helped someone fix their machine tonight AFTER it had been to the service center twice with no luck. It was a simple fix for a major problem. If she cannot help you - if it is a fix-it-yourself- kinda thing, she can certainly direct you in the right direction to get it fixed. I have this machine and have had no problems - know-on-wood, but with anything that is as sophisticated as embroidery machines, it can happen. The yahoo group is FuturaEmbroidery. Needless to say I couldn't even get a loaner. I had to call singer themselves to even get any part of an answer and only after they said they would call me, I never heard anything from them till AFTER I called them today. I just am so frustrated with the whole company and wondered if anyone else has had problems with them.. Oh and I also told them that if it was a car it wouldn't have taken 2 weeks to figure out what was wrong, and cars have computer chips in them. that was the excuse I got from singer... Re: Quilt Squares - what to do with them
ci1313
After my DH grandmother died we found some quilt squares she had made.
My DD was the only one of her Great grandchildren without one of her quilts. The material seemed to be fraigile so I made a wallhanging for her. They don't get the use or the washings a quilt would. Cathy in Mississippi --- In HookedOnEmbroidery@..., "janscross" <stitchinfrogger@...> wrote:

RC is Rose Cottage Embroidery. Vivian Gibson is the owner. She used to have her designs on the Sweet Sensations' site but I'm not sure that site exists any more. Her designs are available at www.oregonpatchworks.com<> but I'm not sure if the tea bag is on that site.

Re: gift of quilts
scopel
Hi All,
Let me tell you my stories about giving thing to ungrateful in-laws. When my brother-in-law moved into there new house I needled pointed a picture for them. Not only did it take me months to complete, but the cost of the supplies and framing was absorbent. What did they do with that picture???? Who knows, it was never put on there walls. I made my daughters crule christmas stockings one year for christmas and they turned out so nice that my sisters decided that I should make every new niece or nephew a stocking for there first christmas. Now wasn't that generous of them. So I did just that. On of the in-law nieces never even put hers up or said thank you. Yep you got it, It was from the in-laws that I gave the picture to. When I started to make quilts, I made my sister and brother each a quilt a gave it to them for Christmas gifts. They loved them. I felt quilty because I didn't do the same for my husbands family soooo, I made an Irish chain for his brother (King size to boot) What happened to that quilt you may ask...... They folded it up and let there DOG sleep on it. WEll, it only took me 3 times and 3's a charm but I will NEVER make another thing for my in-laws. They are the most ungratful and untalented people I know. They do not appreciate the time or love that goes into a craft and believe me you, they will never have a chance to experiance my talent again. Of course, I have lots of family members that really appreciate the things I make and that makes up for all the bad ones out there. So I guess when you give a gift of a craft make sure it is to someone that you know will truly enjoy and appreciate it. cindy |
Re: digitizing software
Nancy
This is what I have and I'll admit I'm slow but I have to ask if you know about Online Sewing and if you have done the lessons on the Janome website. Both of these are a big help. Online sewing costs about $35 a year and is moderated by a Janome dealer who really knows his stuff and the lessons on the Janome website are free.
