Re: In re topic Unsubbing and being banned
I have to differ with you, cheap doesn't always mean cheap quality, our designs are very low cost, but we have them tested by 3 or 4 people to make sure they are very good designs before we release them. I respect your opinion, but it's not fact. We (my husband and I) normally can put out 30 to 40 designs a week, I have over 20 testers and when all goes well, (which it hasn't this week) but normally we can put out designs pretty fast and they are not auto digitized. (my personal opinion is auto digitzed designs are junk) but again that is my opinion. We sell afordable designs, but they sure are not cheaply done.

It seems all people want nowadays is free, free, free, or cheap, cheap, cheap. You can tell those groups that give away tons of free designs. They have the highest membership. Do you think 1/2 of those members would be there if the owner didn't give away free, free, free? I highly doubt it! I have been to some of those groups and have downloaded some of the free ones. After stitching them out, I unsubbed myself and took them off my list to check out their website. I can't believe that some of these so-called digitizers even sell anything. I recently also downloaded a free set being given away during this month. I opened 1 design and noticed it had 23 color changes! LOL I had to chuckle. I also compared the actual stitchout to the picture of the design. It looked nothing like the picture and that's why it bugs me that digitizers don't use actual scanned images. Someone said that not all digitizers have a scanner or digital camera. I don't believe that should be an excuse. Scanners can be bought for less than $50. I want to see what a design looks like (in real life) before I am going to purchase anything. The digitizers who use the generated images from the programs they are using are just trying to fool everybody. I could go on and on, but have said enough I guess. I have decided that I will only download a free design to check out the digitizer's work and only for those I am considering to buy. You can almost tell immediately those that pump out a new collection every few days that they are using auto-digitizing programs. I don't call this digitizing. And maybe that's why they sell them so cheap. Yes, cheap. And cheap is what the final product looks like. Deduper and Buzz Tools or WIlcom 9.0
Has anybody figured out how not to have all the designs that Deduper Dedupes
NOT go into individual folders in the MAIN named folder? When this happens Buzz Tool will only give you ONE design per page instead of multiple same with Wilcom 9.0. I need to be able to quickly SEE all my designs with Wilcom or Buzz Tool by catalogue, not one design at a time. I've been trying to explain my problem on other groups but they aren't getting it, they seem to think it's my Buzz Tool setting, yes I have it set to multiple designs, but when the Deduper puts each and every design into it's own individual folder these programs can only see what's in that one folder, so if there is just one design in each folder they only will show one design. I have over 10,000 designs I would like to Dedupe, but don't have days of spare time to do it. I'm trying to figure out how to easily get all these designs Deduped and then somehow put back into one main category folder not thousands of folders AARRGHHH, this is hard to explain!!!! Now I feel like I've wasted my money on this program. Thanks, Glenna |

Instead of going no mail just do a block sender and then you do not get all the mail sent out by the group and can go read all the messages on the group at your leisure.
As far as the free designs on the group they were put there to give away. If not then don't put them there. Digitizers are always talking about how hard they work. When someone can pump out 30 designs a week that is there choice. The free designs are a lost leader just like buying a can of soup on sale in the grocery store. There are many many free designs on my group and if someone wants to leave that is their loss not mine. My group is very successful and I run it for the members as well as myself. For what it's worth, I do read their blurbs and I do take time to look at their sites. I do not grab every free design offered. I am not missing a thing. There are other places to spend my money. Lydia On 1/20/07, capri _xau <capri_xau@...> wrote:

Since we are on this line of things that bug us... What really bugs me is when I make something for someone, and it is to be USED not to be just looked at. Like I made a Scrap quilt last year for my brother in law and his wife and son. It was onlly the size of a lap quilt for if you were in a chair or on the sofa. I told Pam to USE it and she was like "OOOHH no, it is way to pretty to be used." I dont like to see the things I made put away. I like to see them out and getting worn and dirty.... lol

letter and the web site. It was not that obvious that the group generated a lot of off topic/ fun mail. It was the rudeness with which she answered my request to rejoin. I tried keeping my posts to here private but she wouldn't bother gracing me with a reply. I finally asked the question on a group she is on. For the record....Lydia C. just unsubed from a group I own....and did not tell me she was leaving nor did she tell me why! She did however take the few designs from the site. Did she delete them? She can say she did, but will anyone really know? I don't sell my designs, I'm only a beginner, but one designer donated a design to the group and does have a site with designs for sale. Seems when I said no new designs would be posted, she didn't stay much longer...4 days.

buddies2
Thank you, Sherrie for the kind comment. I love to digitize and I did a design of the
German Shepherd dog head - for a friend for Christmas - it is on a Christmas boot. So many people sent me pictures of their doggies to digitize and I had so much fun - but these boots were do special - to so many. I do have a German Shepherd as part of a set - but if you will write to me Sue - I am sure I can pull out that design as a single - just let me know - it is under Animal designs and then the picture of the German Shepherd. Thanks again and have a great year. Irene www.irenesdesigns.net Irene's Designs. Her work is fabulous. She's just done a whol series of single dogs. Hugs, Sherrie @( 0 )@ |
harsh remarks
I usually am a lurker... but to see members make harsh remarks about
fellow members is not fair... we all make mistakes & when we try to make it right it hurts to see some one cut some one down.. I wish if everyone had a problem with a fellow member they would email that person in private & not post it in the group... I feeel soooooooo sorry for the member that was put down... Huggers, Kat in Okie I know she is very embarassed ps: because I stood up for a group moderator & gave her support I was banned from another group... totally unfair.. I did nodda wrong & the mod of the group that banned me blocked my addy so I could not even try to explain that I said nodda wrong about the person in question... the person in question is one I consider a "FRIEND" so everyone needs the entire story before they form opinions & make negative comments... back to my corner |
