Great Winter Recipe from GoodiesByGail

Ok it is extremely cold out there!!! I'm sure "extremely" is probably too
mild of a description depending on where you live.

My mother is fixing a wonderful dish for dinner tonight that is highly
popular in our family. It will warm you right up!! This recipe was only
given out to maybe two other people but this is too good of a dish not to
share so I am offering it up to anyone wanting to try it!. I promise it
really will warm you up and stick with you better than soup. This is also a
good meal for picky-eaters. My daughter loves it and it is hard to get her
to eat new things.

Margaret, all of my designs are available in ART. It's what I digitize with so it is the native format.

In my email program, (Outlook Express) there's a tab called "Format"
up at the top. Click that then scroll down to "Plain Text" and choose that option. It changes everything from html so it can be highlighted then deleted as you want.

Re: ARC Thread & Pegboard --- I have a ped hook store

Hi

Thanks so much for the peg hook web site. The shipping costs though
are $10 higher than the cost of buying 1000 hooks. I'll look around
at the stores, and if it still looks like a good deal (shipping
included) I'll buy from them. Again, thanks for taking the time to
look into this.

Hi Margaret, the problem is with Bernina. They will not allow companies such as Embird or Buzz tools to use their format. So, the only way to get that format is buy the expensive Bernina cards or someone like myself that uses the Artista software and digitizes in ART format. Thankfully, we are able to convert to other formats.

It bugs me to have designs posted in every format -- except mine! I use ART4.

I'm just the end-user, and I don't want to pay big bucks for a conversion program. All I want is ART. Seems to me that the people who do this professionally ought to be able to provide what the customer needs.

Western Designs

Hi All,
First of all, I want to start my message by thanking all the generous
and talented digitizers for the free designs of the past year. I
greatly appreciate them. It is so nice to try the work before you buy
the set.
Next, I am looking for designs for a jean quilt to which I want to
add some western embroidery such as a lasso, boots, hat, wagon wheel,
etc. to make it a little nicer.
Thanks in advance for any help you can offer.

Denise, at the bottom of the "fully featured" version of the Yahoo
message is a click for "Reply Via Web Post." If you click there, it
takes you to Yahoo to reply. It quotes the incoming mail, which you
can then shorten as necessary so readers can tell what you're
answering.

The drawback, if it matters to you, is that you do not get a copy of
your sent message in your outgoing email files.

Thanks again Rick. We will have to wait until tomorrow to get to the
store. Tryed to make it out a little while ago, and couldn't get up
the hill. I'm thinking we should pay less property tax than those
people who get their streets plowed!! Myrna

Bernina deco 340

carol_keup

Hi all, I am just getting time to post back. I have my 3 yr old
grandson, I had him in ER last night, coulsn't get fever down. He is
asleep right now. I wanted to go get machine today but he is more
important. I have searched over and over about the Deco 340 and really
can't find much. I have set and cut out 8 purses to make. Do you know
if the deco 340 can embroidery on childrens jeans or if I will have to
buy extras to do it.
I almost did not post. I am new and all the fussing is really old after
2 weeks in the group. I tried to personally email someone who sells the
deco and could not figure out how to. Could not find email address off
the post. Not smart with computer. Carol

How is it that someone can have a problem significant enough to take
the time to write out a question, post that question, receive
answers
to that question, but not have time to write a thank you? I am
particularly puzzled by non-replies to personal answers sent
directly
to that person's own e-mail. How hard is it to instantly hit reply
and just say thanks for the suggestion?

Just wondering.

am still using the old way and I hoop tear-away and use spray adhesive. Do
not hoop velour, it will hoop burn.

Re: looking for mongram

Thank you for posting that monogram is really close to what I want just
looking for one that shows the letter more clearly than the scrolls so there
is no question as to what the letter is. I have book marked your site
incase I can't find anything else closer to what I want. Thanks again.

For personal use I have both increased and decreased the letter sizes and

Myrna:

I used some small wood screws to screw the pegboard to the 1x2's. I guess it all depends on your wall space on the size of the pegboards. We got the plastic white boards at either Sutherlands, Lowes or Home Depot. Sorry for the wide choice but it's been a while since we got them and can't remember which one it was. That's our major choices around here. Take care in the snow. I'm sure the spools will wait a day or so. The stores may not be open even if you get there.

Around here (Western Colorado) WalMart was the cheapest. The problem was they didn't carry very many. I think Linda posted a place you can order them through. I ordered through a local hardware store.

I used to buy these from a digitizer who called herself Sketch. I'll do a search and see if I can find her again. I haven't communicated with her in at least a year. She was really good at "fringing" and she had the cutest duck I've ever seen.

More specifically, any animal design where you cut some threads that makes the animal look furry. [I've seen this on some chilcrens' designs for their hair.] Anyone know where I can find them?
