Ideas for Marklin C-track mini or micro layouts?

I was in Lidl today, and found this (ignore the Polish, it's the picture that matters):

Needless to say, i paid less than this auction is selling for (closer to $50USD than the near-$70 of this one)

I bought it on a whim, in part because it struck me as a reasonable price, but also because it uses DCC of sorts, and the cars are compatible with my Piko trains...

So, my question is. Does anybody here know of any Marklin C-track layouts that would make something like an Inglenook, or somesuch? I could just make a generic Inglenook, but was hoping for something sliightly more. Also, what does anybody know about this track system? any experience? TIA

Hello Jon,

there are two examples for inglenooks built with M?rklin C-track in a German internet forum:

Both were built by the same person and both have variations from the original inglenook track plan.

Also in the same forum there is a micro layout built with M?rklin K-track:

Despite the text is written in German, there are many pictures from the building processes. :-)

The M?rklin C-track, as all M?rklin track systems, has a third conductur in the middle of the track. But the C-track is very sturdy and also looks realtively filigree.

Regards,
Dane

Thank you very much for that! I especially like the Inglenook with the double-slip. Normally I would avoid something like that, but here, it just struck my fancy! Thanks! A good beginning... hopefully more ideas--thank goodness for Google Translate. I hadn't thought of looking for German language sites.

Wow! That was... quick... to say the least! And amazing too! In fact, beautiful inspiration! You are a much better man than I. ;-)?

When I do begin, I guess I'll have to document my work too...?
