Exhibition photos

There used to be a modeler who posted photos of model RR exhibitions in Britain or Australia -don't remember which.? I really enjoyed them and got a lot of good ideas from them.? But I seem to have lost track of him.? If anyone knows who I'm talking about, and he's still doing it, please give me a link.? Or if anyone else is doing the same thing.? Thanks.

Mario Rapinette (sp??) Perhaps?

Mario Rapinett removed his website to re-work it.

Here is the updated link:

He is currently posting videos on Youtube of the same photos.

If you subscribe you will get new ones as he adds them.

Mario had a heart attack last week and may not be adding much to his website at this time.

But he is an energetic guy who may push hard to do so.

Great friend to have.

Larry,

You are probably referring to the Narrow Gauge Exhibition Hall which had about 100 small layouts featured.

That website is gone and has been gone for a couple of years.

I don't know who had it so I can't provide more information.

However, if you search Google for:

narrow gauge exhibition

you will find lots of photos and articles and may stumble across some of the old material.

That would be me. I haven't updated the gallery for ages due to lack of time.

Cheers

What a wonderful library of Australian model railroading.

Thank you, David Bromage for all your effort in putting this site together to inspire the rest of us.

I came away from my first look at some small layout exhibition photos with the distinct feeling that even for that kind of display a well designed small backdrop makes a wonderful frame that greatly intensifies the image of even the simplest layout. Ed Weldon (California USA)
