Krystaly crystals needs crystal parameters for MVP
After being quoted ~$55 ea. from QuartSLab I decided to contact Krystaly, & they're asking for the package (I think it's HC-49/U), parallel or series resonance, capacitive loading, & PPM adjustment @ 25 C (I seem to recall +/- 30 kHz @ Fo, which translates to ~+/- 70 PPM). Does anyone have the missing info?
Thanks Bob NO6B |
What band MVP?? It may make a difference.? Receive or transmit?

If an xtal company has to ask, I would go with Quartslab. At least they have the parameters. Otherwise, you may have to go with them anyway. Save yourself the time and frustration.
I'm getting ready to pull the trigger on an order to Quartslab. Not looking forward to the price tag. It will most likely be my last xtal order ever.

What band MVP??UHF TX. I already know the multiplication formulas (TX = X36, RX = X27 - 11.2). I just need to know the loading capacitance. W.r.t. QuartSLab: if necessary I may have to place the order, but only because replacing the radio will be more difficult in this particular case. When the crystal costs more than a suitable synthesized replacement radio, it's time to think about dumping the crystal controlled equipment. Bob NO6B |
I'm wanting to say 27-30pF, Bob. -XC On Wed, Jan 13, 2021 at 4:33 PM Bob Dengler <no6b@...> wrote: At 1/13/2021 11:55 AM, you wrote: |

That's correct, Joe. Same formulas & general parameters. -W6XC On Wed, Jan 13, 2021 at 6:37 PM Joe <k1ike_mail@...> wrote: On 1/13/2021 7:33 PM, Bob Dengler wrote: |
pls. keep us updated., this could be good?? jerry VE3EXT On Sat, 23 Jan 2021 at 16:45, Bob Dengler <no6b@...> wrote: OK, I placed the order this morning.? About 1/2 the price of QuartSLab & will take about a month to ship; will let yall know how they work.? I told Josef @ Krystaly if their crystals work well he may get a bunch of orders for more. |
