I have had very good luck with a folded dipole for 6 meters.

I have tried a Diamond (works good but doesn't seem to hold up
in high wind conditions).

AR-6 Cushcraft works well and close to performance with the Diamond
(my experience)and very low wind load.

Still using the Diamond at the transmit site, but if and when something
happens to it, I am going with the AR-6.

I know of someone using a hy-gain (I believe it is called
Vertex) on his repeater.
It does very well.

Thanks Steve. I think I'll take the advice and look
around for a folded dipole, or 2.
