Hello knowledgable listers,
This is my first post. Just found the list. My compliments to all responsible.
Here goes: I have a DB-212 (6m side mounted 1/2 wave folded dipole) and a DB-225 (same thing except they add a director). If I mounted one DB-212 and one DB-225 back to back on a pipe, would I not get a nearly circular pattern with some gain in the general direction of the DB-225? I'm looking for a fat lobe in one direction, but I don't want to kill the opposite direction. The DB-225 by itself has a nearly semicircular pattern, & the 212 is nearly omni. I don't have enough space vertically to offset for a collinear mounting, so they must mount at the same elevation.
I'm assuming they can be fed with a normal phasing harness like a 2 dipole collinear. Anyone see a problem?
