Steps to setup a MTR2000 internal repeater mode

I have a MTR2000 matched with a Arcom controller. I would like to test out the MTR in repeater mode only (without the Arcom). Not only would this allow me to run the MTR without the controller (in case it goes down) but also want to do some audio comparisons. I have tried through the software and have been unable to do this. I am sure that I am just missing a step here or there to make this happen. Could someone please post the steps or point me to where I can read the steps online. So far I have not found this.
TIA

In the RSS you select REPEATER so the internal controller works....the other choice is BASE...I'm not in front of my laptop right now but have two MTR2000s on air using the internal controller..one on ham and the other on GMRS

Also make sure you set ACCESS correctly on one screen... Rcvr needs to be Carrier or PL and rptr access set to same...

Unfortunately the laptop is at the repeater site. I do remember doing at least those steps and it would not go into repeater mode.
?

I can send you a cpg of how mine are configured....you'd have to change the frequencies to match yours ...do you get all green LEDs when powered on and stable? If you have a red one, there is a problem with the rptr...

All green lights. Would love to see how yours is configured. kd4ydc at gmail dot com please :-)

From an audio perspective, the internal controller on the MTR2000 is rich and full bodied, much like a quality cup of coffee, compared to the RC210. We have both in our fleet and prefer the MTR internal in situations where we have outboard control of the repeater (Alexa, turn off Blue Mountain lol).

Read the radio using the last version RSS software ver 03.03.02. A Win98 laptop with a real serial port is probably the best choice.

After reading a window will open titled Station Configuration. Select Edit Configuration. At the top of the next window titled Station Options you can select either Repeater or Base operation. Also be sure that System Type is set to Conventional and Station Type is set to Analog.

Under Personality select Channel Information from the drop down menu and verify the settings for RF (frequency and bandwidth), Audio (RX activation, CWID, pre&de-emphasis), PTT, Encode & Decode.

After making the changes Write the modified code plug back to the station. The station will reboot.

Wanted to post this so if someone else was looking for this. Thanks to Chris who sent me his config and your right K6LOR, it is really good audio that comes out of that MTR2000.
?
So what I was missing was this;
While in "Channel Information" click on "Channel Config". When you change that from "Base Station" to "Repeater", then the "Repeater" will be an option in the "Options" window on the "Channel Information" window. Otherwise if you do not do that, even if you change stuff in the "Audio" option for "Repeater" it will not work.
Remember, you must change "Channel Config".? This now gives me a "backup controller" if need be and also can help you if your audio is screwed up because of settings in your controller.
Thanks All

No option to change channel info when you read the system and now I got a red light

You don't change it in the service windows. In your last picture where it shows messages, click on edit and then if I recall station... That's where you change frequency, etc.
