Re: Flatpack with horrible insertion loss
So I double checked, and I should have thought about this before, but the frequency response looks ok for which side is high and which side is low given the roll off of the 'pass' frequency. So the

Re: Flatpack with horrible insertion loss
The LOW side would be tuned to reject the higher frequency and corresponds to the label IF the notch was tuned to the 467 frequency. The HIGH side would reject the 462 frequency.

Re: Flatpack with horrible insertion loss
Looking at the photo, I think the sides are reversed. Compare the frequencies to the "High" and "Low" labels.

Re: Flatpack with horrible insertion loss

Re: Flatpack with horrible insertion loss
I should add that if I increase the split, then things look better (although not great). If I go with a 7Mhz split, I can get the insertion loss down to about 2dB and the VSWR looks good.

Flatpack with horrible insertion loss
Folks,
I have an old eBay Chinese flat pack that I put on the bench to tune for a temporary use repeater. I can notch it down to 90dB just fine. But the insertion loss is horrible. I'm getting around

Re: MSF 5000 programming question
Yes, I believe there is.? I think you can select "CSQ", or something similar... but it's been so long since I programmed mine, I seriously can't remember where the selection is.

Re: 220 MHz amplifier
I use TE systems, as Henry has failed me before. Henry also takes some time
to actually get them, and power falls off as they warm up.
The TE systems desktop amp with a good fan has worked well for
