(I hate out this particular forum doesn't let you edit a message)
What I meant to say is all old DOS software relies on being in Real Mode, and doesn't know what Protected Mode is. It's all

Re: DeskTrac Repeater
I think the problem is that even if everything's mapped correctly, you're still using DOSBOX; hence, you're in Protected Mode, which all old Moto DOS RSS relies on. I seem to recall that new fork

Re: Quantar chassis
I think that's it. Like I said elsewhere I went to do the PA output align but got sidetracked...
But pretty sure that was the problem since four PAs did the same thing

Re: Quantar chassis
used the service monitor output on 10 mhz for reference. With no reference the station will not transmit or receive, so had that part covered

Re: Spectra Flat TX/RX Audio
Please see:

I'd guess that you'd want to look at any sort of Data PTT function the

I've searched the existing topics without finding what I need. I have an RC-100 that's working well, but I'd like to disable the base station timeout. I have worked with the tones, but it's been a

Re: kyodo kg510
Same cable as used on the Midland Base Tech II and III stations, if that helps. They are rebadged KG510s.

Re: Kenwood D710 No audio on Aux port
That is correct. Fortunately, Kenwood did correct that oversight in their new NXR-1000 series.
ALTHOUGH, I'm disappointed there are no options to be able to control encoded CTCSS/DCS via external

Re: Kenwood D710 No audio on Aux port
Correct me if I'm wrong (Ken??), but the D710 doesn't have the facilities for use with an external controller, specifically the audio I/O. I had a few of these and sold them for this very reason. They

Re: Quantar chassis
A Quantar chassis is universal, you can put in any modules and it all works the same. I agree on checking the transmitter power alignment.

I¡¯ll bet your 900 chassis has a high stability oscillator installed and your 800 doesn¡¯t
It creates trouble¡.

Re: Quantar chassis
Did you perform the PA alignment? The values stored for orig PA and exciter may be way out for the 900 PA. Just do a PA INIT, and try again.

Has anyone got a picture of the heatsink that goes under the Rx radio in a TB7100?
I've added some photos of how it looks on a TM81XX
