Re: 220Mhz ACSB amplifier
Mine didn't have any fans and no? cases on any of these amps either but they were complete and the box was marked as working 220 MHZ ACSSB amplifiers.
The amps all included the T/R switch, a low

Amphenol Old Style RG-393?
Hi all,
I recently just picked up an item from Facebook marketplace, taking the chance on it. It was a roll of unknown coax. The seller took pictures of the roll and the end of the cable. I counted

Re: Kenwood NXR 810 repeater
I'm not reassigning the RS232 pins 2&3. Channel select uses AUXIO1 to AUXIO4, pins 20 to 23.

Thanks for your input, however I'm looking for help programming the MTR2000 instead of a functional description.

Re: Just getting into DMR with some motorola XPR stuff, looking for suggestions as to if the stuff I bought is actually a good fit for my use case
The repeater certainly would pass encrypted traffic without needing to decrypt it, but I'm wondering how traffic originating from the repeater would be encrypted, say a phone patch or some sort of

Encryption only applies to terminals (portables, mobiles etc). Basic encryption is usually good enough to avoid other radios or scanners from listening in. Advanced encryption is usually for somewhat

Re: Just getting into DMR with some motorola XPR stuff, looking for suggestions as to if the stuff I bought is actually a good fit for my use case
Wouldn't the repeater just pass the encrypted audio from mobiles and handhelds? I'm trying to logically think whether the repeater needs to unencrypt it to repeat it or not. In the analog world, my

Re: Kenwood NXR 810 repeater
Very good point. I use pins on the db-25 of one of my TRK repeaters for channel steering. With the db-25 off and no steering pins grounded the repeater will fault and not key up.

Re: 220Mhz ACSB amplifier
These already have fans in them. Power supply too.
these amps are 28v.
working good so far. The way I look at it is, they are clean and they put out plenty of power. If they fail, so be it. Better

Re: MTR2000 channel steering
I recently programmed an SLR5700 for "channel steering". Unknown if the MTR is similar, but the SLR was *not* like the mobiles - GM300, CDM, etc.
The default channel is the one where all GPIO pins

Be sure the DB25 on the back has not had some of the rs232 pins reprogrammed to another function.
