Re: Somewhat OT... imaging a hard drive...
Clonezilla if you want something free but it's CLi driven, Acronis True Image (if it's still around) if you don't mind paying for it as it has a nice 'pointy-clickey' interface...

Re: Somewhat OT... imaging a hard drive...
If you can find a 5.25 IDE drive, there are external USB drive enclosures for them. The guy that runs the LGR channel on youtube may be of assistance, his email is clint@... Best, ?

Speaking of which, can anyone here copy files from 5-1/4" floppies to a CD or thumb drive? There are expensive rescue services, but the files are of old controller software solely for archival

Somewhat OT... imaging a hard drive...
Years ago (before Norton bought them) I used Ghost to image hard drives (I was doing field support for a bank).? it worked elegantly. I could clone one drive to another (usually larger), or creating

Re: Motorola MTR 2000 UHF repeater.
Thanks for the great information, even thought the MTR 2000 has battery backup, I am sure it was a power bump. I read the repeater and everything was good so I re-programmed it and it is working fine

I'll rerun this in case it benefits anyone: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U7QZzzB2LZU I also would mess with the interconnect cabling. You will cause yourself a lot of problems doing that. Mick -

You may be chasing your tail.? Signal generators/service monitors are not all that accurate.? ?I was playing around with a couple of HP 8924c and an IFR 1200s.? I noticed that even after about 10

We used to run Honeywell lithium polymer batteries on our XTS 5000s. Great batteries! They lasted 20+ hours with moderate transmit and near constant receive activity in talkgroup scan on a busy P25

This can also occur if you have removed one of the option cards or have made a change in the codeplug that would need one of the option cards to function. Read the codeplug and as Millin has said find

Glenn.. unplug the repeater, read the repeater to see where the error is located in the software .. sometimes the blinking red light indicates a power bump or a shot PA. So read the repeater clear
