Quantar running on batter
I have been trying to get my repeater to work on DC power but I think I'm doing something wrong, or have a wrong setting.? The repeater works fine on AC.? 900mhz with a tln3259A power supply, with the cables on it to connect to the DC system.? ?When I apply 24+ volts to it, I can not get it to power on.? Am I missing a setting in the CPS software or is there something else I need to do?? ?The repeater powers fine from AC.

I like to use the curved or straight pick from the Harbor Freight pick set, depending on which one I grab. If the SCM card is being stubborn I've had it bend the tool on the back of the front panel.

The cover plate is a board puller, FYI.

There's a metal tab on the backside of the board cover faceplate (the one with the Speaker).? If you turn it around, you can slip it in to a groove at the bottom front underside of the SCM and WL PCBs.? By firmly grasping the hooked faceplate, you can get enough grip to pull the board straight out from it's socket.? Don't try to lever or bend it, just pull straight out.

Captive metal levers like the old minicomputers had would have been better, but this is a decent have-it-in-hand solution.? You can almost get enough grip on the board to pull it with your fingers as-is, but there is really no good spot to grip it from.? This hook solves the grip issue.

That's strange, I often get better coverage than it gives, and rarely (I don't remember a case) don't get it where it says.?? Make sure both antennas are entered correctly (it defaults to mobile coverage at 2 meters height), and I always lower RX sens to .25?? And I have used it on hundreds of locations ... counting both ends.??? Wished it had a little better resolution and sometimes the map is off a block at a distance (sometimes at a distance it paints the hilltop coverage off a little). I consider it accurate, especially for the money. 开云体育I have found Radio Mobile to be quite accurate. As I recall, there are certain parameters that need to be set in order to get that accuracy. Haven't used it in years, however. Hi, Radio Mobile is a toy... Send me the coordinates and tx, antenna, cables etc parameters and I will try a real coverage simulation? with the ATDI's ICS Telecom professional tool. I think there are 50 meters resolution DTM data for the USA on the web. (DTED 1 or 0 at least). The result will be in GE kmz format and can be seen on regular GE maps. This evening, once again, I tried Radio Mobile. I tried it a few years ago at the request of the frequency coordinator in eastern Idaho. And again this evening with similar results. If only I had the coverage it shows. It is nothing close to what I really have. It shows coverage way far out from what it really is. Maybe it is close in the flat lands, but sure isn't here in the mountains.

If your TKR-850 is a Version 2 radio, the output should be stable at 5 watts in the low power setting. I have ran them as low as 1 watt and never had a problem.

The early radios prior to the Version 2 series did have PA issues, but many of those were updated with a new PA deck under a Service Bulletin procedure by Kenwood.
