No real tech throws out MRT magazine, no less any other trade magazine, you
should be whipped. I like the musty smell of newsprint in my basement,
it's an aquired sense of taste.

I have that issue.

Need some info on Motorola Duplexer

" "

Hello,

I need some info on the following duplexer by Motorola
1. T1402 VHF 150 - 170 mhz.
2. T1402 UHF Don't't know what freq. range are they on.

What kind of duplexer are this duplexer. BP/BR may be?
Could this duplexer be tuned to both 2 meter and UHF ham band. How
much power could it handle? Any info is greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Jeff,

The Q3220E 's are good duplexers. I have used them on many different
sites and systems. I have spec sheets if you want to give me your fax
number. I don't have a scanner here at work.

Hi Guys,

We are, in my little HAM-community in Gyor, Hungary, Thinking to start
repeaters. We have surplus radios, aerials, but the big Enemy is the
duplexer (cavity filter).
We need homebrewer's technical docs how to build a good cavity filter
for 10, 6, 2 m and 70 cm bands.
Can anybody help with some technical literature on any other ideas?
Thanks in advance

Your first step would be to read all available information on duplexor
technology. The RSGB book is a good source of info. You should also
contact a manufacturer like WACOM Products and request all of their
literature. They may be reached by e-mail: wacom@...
You should scan back through the Repeater-builder list-serv posting
for further info.
If you have access to inexpensive materials, building your own is
an option. Another option is to use two sites spaced far enough
from each other that no cavities are required. They may be linked
by wire or qrp radio. Please keep us informed of your progress

Good luck and vy 73.

Re: Repeater Antennas

What is the bandwidth/freq. of this antenna? Also what is price? I live in
central Ga. and was considering a new DB224.

David Peterson wrote:

From: David Peterson <DPeterson@...>

Try Sinclair Labs. They will tune their antennas in
the Ham Bands. To me they are just as good as DB, but
last time I've checked they are less expensive then DB.
I have a new SRL-224 new in the box. It is for two meters, if any one is
interested.

PS this would have to be a pick up or a meet somewhere
near the Atlanta area. this is a large antenna.

Hi Guys: I am working on putting a repeater together with a few other
folks help, and I am in need of a reccomendation of a good UHF repeater
antenna. I have seen a few of the DB products antennas and called them
about an antenna that would work for amateur UHF purposes. They
informed me that they do not build an antenna for the Amateur UHF
frequencies. I would like to stay away from the fiberglass antennas
also. The local repeater here used one for a while but the noise
buildup sometimes made the repeater almost useless to use. The
frequency for this new repeater is on 442.700 Mhz. Any help you folks
could reccomend would be appreciated.

Re: Sinclair Duplexers

I had a set of ResLock duplexers for 220 Mhz and they worked well. The only
problem that I had was one of the notch capacitors was touchy. This was a used
set, also.
