Re: Micor base station cabinets available
Ken, would you have any GE upright cabinets?
Also if someone is traveling from East to West (to Spokane-Seattle-Portland etc.) that may be good. Karl Ken Pearce Nov 8 ? #195459??
?
I have around 25-35 cabinets mostly the 6 foot ones. Most are almost new in a storage facility in Omaha along with other facilities loaded with brand new Micor parts still in boxes.?
?
All heading to the dumpster around the first quarter of 2023.?
?
Get your orders in now. I will post up here the exact dates they will be closed.?
?
Also have Glenayre and other style cabinets in Michigan and Ohio areas.?
?
?
Ken.

db 4096 900 duplexer

Hey folks I have a db 4096 duplexer on a 927 repeater. Works fine. But I may need to take it to a "real" site. Something tells me these are notch only but cannot find anything on this model. Anybody have any thoughts on it? It is rackmount with holes in the front panel to do the tuning. And with no separate pass and notch tuning I'm pretty sure this is a notch only...or a pass only.?
Any thoughts? GeorgeC W2DB |

Re: Up for sale on Hamradioauctions.com
The bigger problem with eBay (for me as a seller) is the new IRS reporting. If you sell a total of $600 or more for the calendar year, they send you (and the IRS) a 1099 whereby you have to claim all of it as income. So, unless you also have documentation for the cost of goods sold (when you bought it) so you can pay income tax on the difference, you're toast. Either that or you have to gross up your selling price on eBay by your marginal tax rate just to break even. Kenwood TKR-D810 External Controller?
Does anyone know if the Kenwood TKR-D810 can support external audio in and out when used in analog mode?
Looking at the service manual and the pinout for the DB-25F "Control I/O" connector, there are pins labeled "TA, TD, RA, RD" but they say "not used". Anyone dealt with something like this? Curious. Also, anyone know how the things do out of band (i.e. 450-520MHz unit down to 440MHz)? -- Chris Baldwin, CETSr. (KF6AJM) Trustee - MetroNET Cal. Intertie (KB3PX) |
Re: Sinclair Q2330E Double Rejection Notch Oddity
I found the same with a Wacom BP/BR duplexer. When the proper 1/4 electrical length jumper was used, the 2 notches joined. I took that to mean that the cans were overcoupled because no null point was achieved with the improper length connecting cable.

I was tuning up the transmit/low pass on my Sinclair Q2330E and came across an oddity when tuning the rejection notches on the low/transmit pass. It looks like there are 2 notches there, about 70Khz apart from each other. No matter how I adjust the notch caps, the double notches move together. The receive side tunes up perfectly and has one deep notch. My first thought would be cable lengths maybe? If this was tuned further up in the band, the cables may be a bit short. |
