Re: FS: Motorola MSF5000 CXB 900mhz 150w repeater with full documentation and test fixtures $350
Jay I was just wondering the other day if you sold it. I was holding off selling mine till you sold yours, no sense having two on the market. I'm getting to the point where I'll accept a loss on it. I have $500 into mine, its from Jersey. But for anyone curious, these really are bullet proof(almost literally).?

Re: GEmastrII. repeater pair wanted!
Jerry,
I am not familiar with GE products, but I have a can of "GE elements" that I picked up somewhere. There are several pairs of GE icoms with xtals. Can you send me a pic of what you are looking for or is there another way of telling if these will meet your needs? Mike VE7SML |

I have been using these to run an ALLSTAR- Raspberry PI? Node inside a VERTEX VXD-7000 repeater. It was installed in June 2020 and been on the air 24x7 since.
Price is right? This is for quanity 5.. be sure to use a 3A in line fuse.. Uses a USB cable to the Raspberry PI.. A 6" cable is just right for my application. |
Re: TKR-850 interfacing with a CM108 USB FOB Allstar/Echolink
I always use the RA and TA pins for analog audio and the RD and TD pins for digital modem interface.? RA is squelched so does not output noise in the absence of a signal.? Both RA and TA are equalized, so don't do any additional preemphasis or deemphasis. RD and TD are not equalized and RD is not squelched.? Choosing the TOR signal instead of the COS output gives you a delayed (very short) transmit as the CTCSS tone detector comes up and the COS cuts off the output audio before the tone detector runs down.? It makes for a very short period (maybe 10 MS) of transmitting open squelch noise.? The tone detect delay can be adjusted in the radio code plug.?

Re: FS: Motorola MSF5000 CXB 900mhz 150w repeater with full documentation and test fixtures $350
Not that I am interested in buying it, but this is an *excellent* station to use to put up a 900 MHz machine in your area.? I have one on the air myself, and have written a couple of articles for Repeater-Builder on how to set it up for Amateur use.??

And, FWIW, I invested more than $350 just to get my MSF5000 up and running... Add in the antenna, and this is quite the buy! So, if you're looking to venture into 900 MHz Amateur repeater operation in your area, this is a great opportunity.? Just remember, you're going to need GOOD feedline (7/8" or better Heliax) to keep feedline losses down. Good luck selling it, Jay! Mark - N9WYS? Please excuse all typos... Fat fingers and hyperactive spell check at work!

FS: Motorola MSF5000 CXB 900mhz 150w repeater with full documentation and test fixtures $350
Repeater builders,
Like to title says, I am selling my 900mhz MSF5000 is 100% working condition with all the service and operation manuals as well as the analog and digital test fixtures. This station has a 2 cavity BpBr duplexer and wildcard for interfacing to an external controller. I also have a commercial base station antenna available for $100 that is tuned dead in the center of the ham band. This would be pickup in Mckinney, tx. Asking $350 email me direct with questions |
Re: TKR-850 interfacing with a CM108 USB FOB Allstar/Echolink
I do have a question regarding the RX & TX audio though.
If I'm using the TKR-850 to do the DCS decode /encode (I didn't think the Allstar software supported DCS, just PL Tones), then I assume I will need to use RA & TA pins instead of RD/TD? Since it is applying the pre-emphasis / de-emphasis & limiting on those pins (TA/RA)...I assume in the Allstar configs I leave both those modes disabled correct? -J |

I got plenty of DB25's laying in the junk drawer from my terminal server days...its just trying to find the pin extractor to move the pins over that is the challenge

Re: Regulator - 12vdc to 5vdc for Raspberry Pi
¿ªÔÆÌåÓýThis is way more money then it needs to be, and the power connector for the Pi is wrong. e-bay "powerconverter" has the correct PI connector and flying
leads for input, half? (or less) the cost. On 1/7/2021 17:01, Buddy Brown via
