Re: Grounding rods
You don't need to inspect "wire to rod." They are either welded or high compression crimped. Concrete that yields to strikes has other issues. Consider that in nearly every case, a tower has a pin or

Re: Grounding rods
How did you periodically inspect the wire to rod bond? What was the distance between rods? Did the ground wire to the dish go through plastic pipe or was in in contact with the concrete? I have seen a

Re: Accessory connector on back of TK8302
Yeah, you're correct, the link will be on for two. Now, I just need to keep the three radios straight so I don't use the incorrect one that's not program lol. I'll UHF all the same model. Chad Nelson

And since it is a link radio, he probably meant "Port 2". Keeping mind how well Chad can do with his situation. Mick - W7CAT

Re: Grounding rods
The satellite uplink facilities I worked at had 10ft ground rods buried 4ft below grade and there were 75 around the building and probably 200 total on site with separate ground rings around all

Re: Accessory connector on back of TK8302
No, didn't touch the board. We got it working tonight, we programmed the pins and found out that the Kenwood mobile radio does not have enough drive going into the controller so I had to disable the

There is an alternative I've always used. Try using a sampling slug for your Bird watt meter. You can change the coupling by turning the slug. -- Joe Orrico WB6HRO / WR6AAC Repeater System

Re: Accessory connector on back of TK8302
Using dictate, that does not hear properly. This is the first time we are trying to configure the 8302 as a link radio on an RC 210, so no it hasn't been connected to another one. This is the first

Re: Accessory connector on back of TK8302
So it works on one 210 but not on another? You mention board 2, so I'm assuming you are talking about a second 210 controller. Chuck

Re: Accessory connector on back of TK8302
They were supposedly programmed for the RC 210 but they don't work with that controller on board two. We just need the pin out for that port on the TK 8302 so we can program them correctly. Chad

Ken from Arcom programmed those pins but they don't work for the I C2 10 repeater controller. My buddy needs to see pin out for that port. Chad Nelson WI9HF/WRPL979 Janesville Wisconsin 608-754-8671

Re: Isolated Tee
Use a little baking soda and water. Make a paste. Use a toothbrush (maybe your wife's) and use that paste to clean the tarnish. It works well. Mick - W7CAT

Re: Isolated Tee
Iso-tees can be made easily. QUALITY brand like amphenol or something purchased from Tessco. They are also on ebay used. Look for ones that are cleaned, that'll save time from cleaning tarnished ones,

Re: Accessory connector on back of TK8302
My first thought is whether the accessory jack pins are programmed properly. I've not programmed this particular model, but other Kenwood radios need this done. Chuck WB2EDV
