Welcome to Radio JOVE 2.0

Dear Radio JOVE Community, The Radio JOVE Project is a NASA Partner citizen science project where participants purchase, assemble, and operate their own 16-24 MHz radio spectrograph to observe solar, Jupiter, Galactic, and Earth-based radio emissions. Learn to become a citizen scientist and contribute scientific-quality data to our data archive. Visit Getting Started to learn how to participate in Radio JOVE. Regards, The Radio JOVE Team

I'm Back!! ish....
2
Good Day All, My absence in the group was due to a medical issue in the household, all good now, and my laptop. My HP Business Pro Laptop, that I run PRJ, Stanford SID and NASA Inspire v3, took a meltdown as the fan, heat exchanger, and most of the CPU and ram was in the grave. It took me almost a week to baby it to transfer 2.2 TB of data, order a new laptop and have it delivered and set up. Bear in mind, I have not turned off the laptop, except for the occasional power outages, for over 12 years.... On that note.... I am now using the SDRConsole method of gathering data. Still tweaking the setting to get satisfactory results for my location. The PRJ v2 default settings are blasting it with high RFI/Gain overload. Will keep everyone posted.... And some small solar from yesterday's data set? Maybe.. Carl Wasilla, AK USA

Possible super nova remnants ( SijhNR) ? - Heliotown
J,,;kk Tom, Attached is a photo of the A team objeects with their respective RA and Dec. I use LMST via Radio Eyes to locate what's overhead. Radio sky pipe reports LMST as an optional domain. It would be great if RSS do so as well. Maybe it does? Good luck hunting. Best wishes, Andy On Sat, May 10, 2025, 12:59 PM Thomas Ashcraft via groups.ioNhbuhjkkkkkkkkkkkjkkk <ashcraft@...> wrote:

weird interference, part2

Because I don't turn on the "jove" radio each day I don't have a continuous daily record but here's what I've found: 5/9 RFI 2154:30-:55 5/8 None 5/6 RFI 2140-2142 5/5 None 5/4 None 5/3 2132:50-2133:15 5/2 None 4/28 None 4/27 2154:40-2157:30 4/26 22:14-22:18 4/24 None 4/23 None 4/22 None 4/21 None 4/20 2231:30-2232:30 The pattern of RFI is not constant but there is always a "wide" signal and then "narrow" ones. As Duane said, "Weird"...but interesting....John and Duane frequently "hear" stuff that I don't so they may have RFI for my days of None....bill.... ;
