Sticky Welcome to Radio JOVE 2.0 3
Dear Radio JOVE Community, The Radio JOVE Project is a NASA Partner citizen science project where participants purchase, assemble, and operate their own 16-24 MHz radio spectrograph to observe solar, Jupiter, Galactic, and Earth-based radio emissions. Learn to become a citizen scientist and contribute scientific-quality data to our data archive. Visit Getting Started to learn how to participate in Radio JOVE. Regards, The Radio JOVE Team

Good evening to all...got a late start today (~1520 UTC, 1120 EDT) but here are two spectrograms. The first at about 1611 UTC lasted for about 6 minutes contained at least 4 increasingly weak events. The oter at about 1927 UTC was quite strong. ...Hope I didn't miss more earlier in the day. Best to one & all....bill....

Io-A/non-Io-A April 29, 2025 Dark Sky Observatory 2
Thanks to Tom for the head's up. We picked up some Jupiter-Io emissions today, right on the border between Io-A and non-Io-A. I think it would have been a nice display if viewed through the nighttime ionosphere. See attached. The first shows the full "storm", the others show the details. Richard

Solar 29 APR 2025 2
Observations from Grafton, WV. One weak solar and one of lightning. The lightning was just to the north of me and I was only seeing about 1/4 of what is shown in the spectrogram. So does that mean 3/4 stayed in the clouds? I took a similar spectrogram up to the weather students at West Virginia University and asked them. They were baffled and amazed that I could do something like that. Any one here know a lightning expert I could get in touch with?? Thanks, ~Duane

Good evening...a bit more activity today. All occurring during the period when NOAA prediction for the day suggested the time of most activity. Wish my local terrestrial WX was as accurate! :-) .....bill....
