BAUER - ZARTNER - FLEISCHMAN or FLEISCHMANN - KLECKER - RAAB Family Photograph

I’ve recovered an old photograph of Frances BAUER who is identified as the sister of Mary ZARTNER.? The photograph has no studio or location referenced, but appears to have been taken in the 1880’s with Frances likely in her teens or 20’s at the time.? Based on limited research I was able to gather the following information regarding the sisters and this family:

?

Frances or Francisca FLEISCHMAN or FLEISCHMANN was b. 20 May 1868 in Cedarburg, WI to parents Andrew FLEISCHMAN (b. 1837) and Anna Theresia KLECKER or RAAB (1839-1919).? Frances was one of 4 children born to this couple including, Andrew; Frances; George; and Mary FLEISCHMAN or FLEISCHMANN, all born between 1866 and 1878.? Frances married Andrew BAUER (1864-1944) in Milwaukee, WI on 17 Jul 1889 and they had two sons, Andrew BAUER Jr. (1890-1936) and George BAUER (1898-1934).?

?

Frances died 4 Feb 1909 and is buried in the Calvary Cemetery in Milwaukee, WI.

?

Mary FLEISCHMAN was b. 1877 in Wisconsin to the same parents and married Mr. ZARTNER and died 18 Jan 1944 and is buried in the Holy Cross Cemetery in Milwaukee, WI.

?

Census records provide the following details:

?

1880 census of Cedarburg, WI:

?

Andrew FLEISCHMANN, age 43

Anna FLEISCHMANN, wife, age 38

Andrew FLEISCHMANN, son, age 12

Francisca FLEISCHMANN, dau, age 12

George FLEISCHMANN, son, age 10

Mary FLEISCHMANN, dau, age 4

?

I am hoping to be able to return the photograph to family and would appreciate you contacting me if you are a member of this family, or you know someone who might be.

?

Thanks,

Shelley

That’s such a wonderful photo, Shelley. It’s really nice of you to do some research in order to return it to a family member.

Best of luck!
