Re: ADC-40 status report and Challenge Accepted
I've been building the soldersmoke DCR at a leisurely pace over the couple of weeks. Started on the last section, the audio amp, today; built and tested the third stage.? WIll add the second stage

Re: ADC-40 status report and Challenge Accepted
Hi Steve, I was looking for "ADC-40" on YouTube; my bad. I've found it and will watch tonight. I'm interested in the RX also. I would like to build a good 40M direct conversion RX that's good enough

Re: ADC-40 status report and Challenge Accepted
I built the Soldersmoke Challenge DCR about 6 weeks ago and sent my non-video results to Bill and Dean. (Pete is not part of this project.) I didn't have the 3D-printed variable inductor form so used

Chuck, I thought you didn't like PTO's :) I was going to take up the challenge also but got distracted on my 2N2/40 build. I am one of the elite "6" who are watching your ADC-40 project! 73 Alan, N8WQ

VE3DNL Marker Generator
Remember the VE3DNL generator from the qrp-l mail reflector?? Used 5.12MHz crystal with a divider to generate signals every 5, 10, 20 and 40KHz. Kitted by NorCal and others a long time ago. K7QO came

Re: Adding to the KN5L ft test fixture.
I built the Wenzil Techlib.com tester this evening--I used a switch so I only needed one output BNC. It works very well, fast results and easy to use. But since I also have the B&K 530 that has its

IMHO, the way to measure a transistor's ft is not making it oscillate, but to inject RF in its base thru a moderately high resistor and measure the RF component of Ic.Daniel Perez? LW1ECP | | Libre

Adding to the KN5L ft test fixture.
This is a new one for me. I copied a couple of old sources for ft testers but some of them just vanished from the hard drive. One was a real nice PNP/NPN with a VFO and meters. 1960s. You could test

Correction. The design doesn't have the 2SC3375. You get 6W for -6dB drive.

Re: 2SC5706 from Kits and Parts
I use a pair of 2SC5706's in push pull to drive a pair of RD06HHF1 mosfets. These parts work great as drivers for the final. The signal chain in this particular amplifier is: 2SC3375 -> Pair of
