Kirk, Don't laugh. ? I used to work the flightline at the annual airshows at Oshkosh, WI.? Was there the first time they flew the Concorde?SST in and was the one who marshalled it to a stop?before it was towed to the display pad. The pilot and I shared a funny moment and I received?a nice thumbs-up out the cockpit window from him.? They would take paying guests on short flights to Canada where they could go supersonic; that wasn't allowed in US airspace. Also, I ?used to do walkabouts after lunch where I worked in suburban MD and would often see it climbing out from IAD (Dulles airport) a bit after noon on its trips back to London. Very distinctive?shape compared to all the other airliners. So, I'm familiar up close and personal with both the SSTs - the aircraft one and the N6KR ones - have both the 40m and 20m versions of the latter that I've used on the air. And a?couple?more from "lakeside" that I'm reworking for other bands. Regards, Walt ?K3ASW On Wed, May 21, 2025 at 1:36?AM Kirk Kleinschmidt, NT0Z via <sohosources=[email protected]> wrote:
