NC40A: 78L08 Bypass Capacitors

Could the voltage regulator bypass capacitors of the NC40A be better located? The schematic shows both a 10uF and 0.047uF in parallel at the input. Datasheets on the 78L08 recommend a 0.33uF on the input and a 0.1uF at the output to improve transient response and operating stability.

They are as they were on the original NC40A.? It doesn't seem to be that critical here.
