Fields Sat Name and SAT Mode locked
Hello, 1) Sat name and sat Mode fields are enabled only in case when the Propagation Mode is set to "Satellite" 2) There was no change related to Antenna profile. I think I will need a more detailed description of what the situation is and how it doesn't work, when it worked, etc. Regards Ladislav p¨¢ 31. 5. 2024 v?10:07 odes¨ªlatel DL4ZAQ_Peter via <cpneff=[email protected]> napsal: Dear all, |
Propagation mode is under "QSL via". It is a fixed position field. p¨¢ 31. 5. 2024 v?19:31 odes¨ªlatel DL4ZAQ_Peter via <cpneff=[email protected]> napsal: Where do I set the propagation mode please? This field is not there anymore.? |
Hi Ladislav
would it be possibel when you select Propagation Mode: Satellite a new drop down menu will show a menu whit sattellite name: and you select QO-100 and in this case a SAT mode S/X ( maybe we can predefine this in the setup of QO-100) this setup could be made in a seperat place under "Settings"/satellite ???? Here a screenshot where I have add the SAT-Name & Sat-Mode in the Layout editor, this 2 windows should only appere when you selet Propagation Mode: Satellite 73" OZ1CT Ben |
Hi, Based on your suggestions, I will try to implement something for the sat community. There will be no setup, but Qlog will "learn" from your QSOs. I'm still debugging it to make it usable. Regards Ladislav ne 2. 6. 2024 v?21:19 odes¨ªlatel Bent Andersen via <eskolin=[email protected]> napsal:

Dear Ladislav,
this sounds very promising and would make satellite operation more convenient. the operating modes can be assigned via the qo-100 band plan and could be adopted automatically. And if the receiving frequency received from CAT is showing the SAT downlink frequency the program understands what¡¯s happening and selects the correct settings accordingly. 73 and all the best Peter DL4ZAQ |
That's a good note. The ADIF standard contains a lot of duplicate information and sat mode is one of them. I'm not a SAT hunter, so I can't figure out why an additional sat mode was introduced when we have RX/TX frequencies and bands. That's why it's taking me so long because I'm looking for different information. I want to make sure I don't miss something.? Even if someone doesn't have a rig connected via CAT, the operator has to enter a minimum band or frequency for the sat. But I say, I'm studying it. If it were up to me, I would remove the Sat mode field from the ADIF standard. But it's my naive approach ¨²t 4. 6. 2024 v?11:27 odes¨ªlatel DL4ZAQ_Peter via <cpneff=[email protected]> napsal:

Hi Latislav,
There's us an adif developers group you could subscribe to where y of u can discuss the best approach with other software developers and/or make suggestions for adif standard improvements etc. The group may be found at: /g/adifdev/topics -- 73'd de Dave, G8FXM |
Thanks for the info. I am already a member of the mailing list. Regards Ladislav ¨²t 4. 6. 2024 v?12:36 odes¨ªlatel Dave, G8FXM via <webmaster=[email protected]> napsal: Hi Latislav, |
