QLog does not support this option. This is a fairly common question, so my question is: should "Always on Top" be applied at the application level or per widget? What is the use case for this option?

Use case would be having QLOG open on the screen when sending CW, as you navigate around the desktop, QLOG disappears, so it would be nice to overlay QLOG main screen, in this case SDR Console.

Yes, I agree. I definitely do not want my logging program blocking out something else that I might need to view or use the UI. This is definitely an OS or display manager function. Here is one way:

Selected Linux Window managers have this option. It seems that Microsoft Windows doesn't have this option. I don't know about MacOS.

Macos - not by default. There may be some utility application that can be installed to do it.
?
It also doesn't look like you can do it with QT itself - this is something that should be (has to be) delegated to the windows manager.
