All,
I am having an issue with a lost Title Bar QLog V.0.42.1 on Linux
Mint Cinnamon. I am uncertain it is a QLog issue, or a Cinnamon
issue. Without the title bar I cannot exit the application,
minimize, or unmaximize. Perhaps I hit a key string which I had
not realized. Don't know.
The QLog title bar is missing, and by selecting Alt-Space I can
minimize or Close the window, but the Unmaximize is greyed out and
the Move Title-bar Onscreen does nothing. QLog is the only
application affected.
I have search and tried about everything I could find and cannot
correct the issue. Any ideas where to look next would be greatly
appreciated.

I have this same issue using Linux Mint and QLog. Like you, I
thought I must have done something I didn't realize. I guess that is
still a possibility. 73

Hi,
Unfortunately, as I wrote in the Release Notes, it is a known issue in the QT (GUI) library under Linux. What's worse is that this QT's issue appears differently under each version.
Please, following the instructions in the Release notes: """" LINUX USERS
There is a known issue where QLog does not correctly restore the Layout.
The bug is in the QT library and in QLog it is solved by a workaround,
which does not always work. If the layout does not restore correctly,
try clicking on the Activity again. """" It helped when I was saving the layout of a window that was NOT maximized.

Ladislav,
I don't understand what is meant by; "If the layout does not restore correctly, try clicking on the Activity again." Can you elaborate please?

It means the layout is restored unexpectedly. For example, in your case, there is no frame around the window. In other words, if you have an "Activity" with a saved layout, try pressing Activity again. If you don’t have any Activity with a saved layout, the recovery process is a bit more complicated.

All,
I believe I found a work-around that will "fix" the issue.
Perhaps temporarily, but its working for me. Not sure if future
updates will break it again, but at least its back to normal for
me.
1. Go to LM > Keyboard > Layouts tab
2. Select Allow different layouts ... and New Windows use the
default ... close the window.
3. Right Click an empty area of your desktop and select Display
Settings
4. Change the Resolution to something smaller than current (but
note the current setting).
5. Open QLog and it should display in a small window, but the
title bar should now be displayed.
6. Press and hold the CTRL key while you Close the application via
mouse click on the title bar X.
7. Perform Steps 3 & 4 again, returning your resolution to its
previous setting.
8. Restart your computer.
One caveat. Don't close the program while maximized. Unmaximize
first, then close. LOL Otherwise you have to reduce resolution and
re-open the app to get your title bar back again.
