Evolution of the QLog group
Hi, ?
?
? ? |
Hello Wolfgang, Thank you very much. Thank everyone who, with their ideas or changes, contributed to making QLog a bit better.? As stated in the README, QLog does not contain any telemetry, so I cannot provide the number of QLog users or other nice "marketing" statistics. Instead, let me share some numbers and notes. - QLog was created 16/6/2019 by Thomas Gatzweiler - My first QLog change was 19/7/2021 - Since 19/7/2021, 1770 changes have been made - The number of hours spent developing... I'd rather not count, but it's a lot. - Currently, 276 issues have been resolved, and only 19 remain open. - There are many ideas on how to improve QLog, but to be honest, due to capacity reasons, it is not possible to implement them all. I'm sorry if I forgot to reply to some emails. Sometimes it's difficult to balance family, work, QLog development, and find time for making QSOs. I wish you, Wolfgang, and everyone on the mailing list a wonderful summer (or winter, if you are in Australia), enjoying our hobby, with many wonderful QSOs and no issues with QLog. Dear Ladislav,
I am writing to express my heartfelt gratitude for developing such an outstanding software. qlog has exceeded my expectations and works like a charm. It has significantly improved my productivity and efficiency, making my logging tasks much easier to manage. The user-friendly interface, seamless performance, and the attention to detail in the features are truly commendable. It is evident that a lot of thought and effort went into creating this remarkable tool, and it shows in the flawless functionality and reliability. Thank you once again for your hard work and dedication in developing this software. It is greatly appreciated, and I look forward to seeing more innovations from you in the future! |
I take advantage of this post to congratulate Ladislav.? Thanks for this excellent software.? I really appreciate the effort you've put into it.? Although I have only recently become a radio amateur, one of the first things I did when I started radio was look for logging software, specifically for Linux. ?Qlog is by far the best one I found that meets my needs and above all, the most modern, well organized and aesthetically beautiful. ?For my part, I am always recommending it and I hope that among the new users, new collaborators appear who can help the project. 73, Diego LU1IDC? |
Peter, Thank you. There is always room for improvement. However, it is important to keep in mind that QLog must be as simple as possible. And that's a challenge for further development. Diego, Thank you. You also contributed with your translation. Wolfgang DL2KI, who translated into German, can confirm how complex translations can be. Just imagine: there are 1958 strings for translation. It really requires patience to do it properly.
