Not an OH station in the log that I saw. Didn't hear either Fox again last

nite. Plenty of hounds, no Fox though. I think I know what it is. When Diz moved out of Ohio, he sucked along all the good ether with him, and all the good grounds apparently. Will just have to wait for the rebound of the ether, grounds and/or sunspots, whichever comes first perhaps. dennis, nu8s

Bob,Bob, What's a check log? You gave me an unambiguous confirmation of our 0250 QSO but I am not in your final log(???) Lou, W8LI |
Hi Lou and Gang,
Lou, I checked and can safely say the log I posted was wrong.. you are in my paper log with the correct info. For some reason I put an X next to your Call. Not sure why, but you got left out of my posted log. I will be posting my final log on Monday and you will be in it.. thanks for picking it up that brings my total to 63. To Answere your question.... Check Log = not complete QSO, If I missed info like (rst or state or name) in the contact, I did not put it in my posted Log as it is not a completed QSO. I did try to go back at least 3 times for most. I went back 7 times for one contact. He was being QRM'd from three stations whos calls were not even close to his. Thank you for checking your log. Your signal was very strong (with some rapid but short lived fades) the entire 2 hours and I had no trouble copying your replies to all of the Hounds. I am amazed at the behavior of 40m. I carefully aligned my OHR-100A using some very high end equipment and the results were extremely gratifying in the shop. On the air, though, I was reminded of my past 2m EME operations when I listened for hours with the 100Hz filter inline. I had trouble hearing anything on 40m last night except for WIAW (booming in), your consistent signal, and the hounds clamoring over N0AR at around 7.033 MHz. The band was virtually dead to me except for those amazing QRPers. I suspect that my MP-1 is not doing me a lot of favors by way of received signal strength...... 73, Lou W8LI On Nov 19, 2004, at 8:06 PM, Bob Sellars wrote:
