WD4CFN Fox Announcement

 

As John AJ1DM mentioned, I will be your fox along with him tomorrow evening. ?I am located in Nashville, TN, and will be running an IC-7610 at 5W into one of two doublets up about 45'.? Look for us between 7.030 and 7.050 Mhz between 0200-0330z?.?I will start calling CQ?FOX?de?WD4CFN?UP, then just?WD4CFN UP.? I will be listening 1-2Khz up then will go simplex if/when things slow down.? I will send your call twice on the first exchange and again with a "TU".? Please listen to make sure I got your call correctly.? I plan to to use the Fritz map.? We have rain forecasted (100%) during the hunt.? Hopefully, the QRN won't be too bad.? I look forward to handing out as many pelts as I can.

what was supposed to be just rain now appears will also be isolated thunderstorm also in my area.? If it arrives, it will be mid-hunt.? I will be monitoring it, and may need to go qrt until it passes.? It's pretty windy tonight, so things are moving fairly quickly.? The forecast keeps changing.? ?I'll sign QRT and get back on after it passes - if it occurs.
