Please sign the print (generally done on the front). 2) On the 16th of the month you will be notified of how many participants there are for each exchange. You are to include one print for each of the other participants and one for yourself. 3) Prints should be enclosed in individual clear sleeves (for example Clear Bags B811SNF) along with a Tech Sheet. Include the date of the exchange, your name, print title and any information about the subject matter, printer, inkset, software, workflow etc on the Tech Sheet which may be of interest to other participants. Optional: also include your own critique of your image. 4) Make sure that whatever return box or mailing method you use can accommodate both Letter (8.5x11) and A4 (8.3"x11.7") sized prints. The total number of prints submitted is likely be greater than for the prior monthly print exchanges, so for those participants in the USA a USPS Flat Rate Medium size box is probably the best choice, especially if you are participating in both the B&W and Color print exchanges. 5) For example, mailing your prints (addressed to the print exchange coordinator) in a USPS Flat Rate envelope or medium size box with an enclosed prepaid USPS Click-n-Ship return LABEL for a Flat Rate envelope or medium size box (addressed to yourself) should work very well. As I mentioned in my reply to Westley's post, I often start printing my panoramic photos on 5.5x14 inch paper that I have cut from 11x14 inch sheets, before I move on to printing them on larger sizes of pre-cut pano papers. This morning I wondered if USPS makes a Flat Rate 'Legal' size envelope which would accomodate those 5.5x14 inch papers. If so, this would provide a reasonably priced option for mailing/exchanging this size of panoramic prints (at least in the US) and the prints themselves would not require as much storage space as larger panoramic prints do. Sure enough USPS does have a Priority Mail Flat Rate Legal Envelope (9.5x15 inches). The cost for mailing it in the US is $10.15. Just a thought in case there is ever a wider interest in the group for exchanging relatively small panoramic prints. Gary

Would anyone be interested in doing a print exchange for just panoramic prints? A panoramic image is generally defined as having a minimum aspect ratio of 2:1 (width:height) and most often wider. The aspect ratio for the "XPan" format for example is 2.7x1. Several medium format film "panoramic" cameras produce 6x17 cm images which have an aspect ratio of 2.8:1. This could be done as a separate "special interest" print exchange (BW, Color or a single exchange for either/both) as there may not be many people interested in participating. Mailing the prints could be done in large tubes or if the print size was no larger than 8.5" on the short size we might be able to roll them to fit in the USPS Priority Mail Large box that is 12x12x8.5 inches, depending on the number of prints which need to fit in the box. Re papers: 17x22 or 17x25 paper could be cut to 8.5x22 or 8.5x25 inch sizes. Red River Paper also sells several of their papers in pre-cut 8.5x25 and 13x38 sizes. Your thoughts? Gary

I've been an ardent Photoshop user since the 90s. I've tried almost every alternative (until the last few years) and none really seem to hold up to PS and Lightroom. But a bunch of them seem to come quite close today. I'm thinking Capture 1 and On 1 photo raw.
